With respect to Jeffrey and Mike, these eight men breathe life into every TOTO song. I’m especially going to miss the old warriors Paich and Luke, and the classics they produced over their 40 years. I tip my hat to Joseph. He’s great night after night. And to brother Steve Porcaro, may the Gods bless you for the wonderful music you have brought into the world. Lenny, you have been doing your thing since nearly the beginning. To Shem (who I had the pleasure to chat with in Shippensburg, PA), the well-traveled, and multi-talented Warren, and to the irrepressible Shannon behind the drum kit, you have treated us to some of the best music of our time, and for that, thanks again, and we love you.
Saw them in Columbia, Greensboro and Charleston recently, FRONT ROW in front of Steve each night. In Charleston they signed my, and Steve's in 1998, Ernie Ball/Music Man #2 Pu$$y serial number G03672 'Artist Division' Luke , as he wrote on the back of the headstock, 'Luke', used in Concert as backup #2 for four years. He signed it for me in 2006 while in LA and again 2.27.23 in Charleston. to include all the band members. I wish I could post a picture of the guitar, but I concur with everything you said and you said it so eloquently! It was The Doobie Brothers for me in 1972 and then in 1978 in a small college in North Carolina, my home state, I heard 'Hold The Line' and it was on again. 7 Doobie Brothers and 5 TOTO concerts. Being able to play these songs, but not all the lighting riffs-he's all over the board, is an honor and privilege. Again, excellent tribute to those who are left and make it work!!!
Being able to play guitar/sing and play these songs, and many other artist, it is an honor every time I pick one up! In fact I'm going over now and warm up the Marshall. Not "Only the Children' but the neighbors too, had better be ready!!
I'm very astonished about the drummer!!!! He fits exactly to this band!!!! When I close my eyes I hear Jeff!!! Brilliant this guy!!!! Thx for sharing!!!! Greetings from germany Christoph 👏👏👏👏👏
That’s the great Shannon Forest. His was the perfect drummer for the band after Jeff, imo. I loved Simon, but, he played a lot, and it sometimes got in the way of the vocals or guitar.
Linda, you are sooo right! I play it every time I head to North Carolina from Columbia, SC to do family business stuff. The drive is 2.25 hours on average. The concert is 2:05. I have 20 minutes for my ears to settle down. Yes, one of the best from one of the best!!
"Only the children", "Child´s anthem", "Mushanga" , Orphan" etc etc. - prooves TOTO´s deep dedication towards children Worldwide, which makes them SO GREAT (Y)
Throw in “Home of the Brave,” and TOTO would be an appropriate half-time act for a Super Bowl. That’s if there is another Super Bowl with a live half-time show.
Joe Williams can still hit the high notes, great voice. Also, great to hear Toto playing/singing the songs the way we know them, not going off on some crazy tangents like a lot of bands do live
totally agree.. Sometimes for a few songs having a "new" fresh air for an specific tour is ok. But not all the times to all the songs in every live appearence... :)
Wow! An everlasting track and live performance. Thank you for giving us the best in rock music...please continue to give us the shivers with your songs. Toto, thank you for a sweet sound in my ears.
@@christophmeirich5928 I missed him yesterday night on dice.fm. Sput sounds good too but Shannon still amazing and I hope to see him again with the guys. Sad to know that he's not in the band anymore :(
Thjis was afbulous version of toto and when Xavier turned up on keys the Tour melted !!! all members past and present would have been proud ... very proud !!!!!
