Yeah, but with hydrophilic properties the water will _sheet_ instead on bead on the surface. So when water moves it takes all the water on the bowl with it. If it were to be hydrophobic then some beads of water might be left behind. I believe this is the point he was making.

Once I stayed in Sofotel Munich Hotel where they have similar toilet but I guess cheaper and less quality . It had all the features discussed here with even hot air dryer and soft heated leather seating edge

Unfortunately I cant get an electric bidet/toilet because I do not have electric in my potty room :( So for now, I have settled for the Toto ultramax2 with a standard non-electric bidet for now...but one day I am going all in! with corona virus, run and get your bidet whether is manual/hand bidet, fixed bidet, sofisticated bidet because they are running out regardless the brand. Run otherwise you will have to improvise using the ketchup bottle or the hair dye bottle. I ordered my portable manual bidet on amazon and I will receive only May, darn it.
Maybe tell the floor reps or the camera crew to dim the lights or place an off colored matt in the bottom of the toilet so you can actually see the water oscillating. I can't see any water pattern changes in this video or discern any internal visuals or design contours because the light in the bowl is blindingly bright. Don't sell yourself and your video short with such an important product.

The salesman says hydrophilic means it’s water loving so the water sheets right off. What he means to say is hydrophobic, hates water. That’s the way water streams off. I get the impression this guy knows nothing.
Toto makes an affordable version with the same features for under $350 on Amazon. Search Toto C200. Biobidet also makes them for half that(with dryer, heated seat, heated water, etc.)
