Erina: "Soma, you're the new 1st seat." Soma (internally): _Well, crap. I don't actually feel like I deserve it quite yet. How can I twist this in my favor?_ Senzaemon: "Hey, I'm tired of this. You. New 1st seat. Choose next director." Soma: :)
@@Lemuel928 She is too kind hearted. Plus I feel like administrating an entire school the caliber of Totsuki would be too much stress for her to handle.
@@Lemuel928 Megumin doesn’t really have that kind of leadership skills, she would probably be really stressed too. Erina could handle the position better and she definitely deserves the position too.
@Orion If Erina's grandfather did not make Erina the new school headmaster then Erina would be at the Elite ten and She IS stronger than Souma so No matter who ends up getting the first seat first (Both tried to give it to the other) Erina would have beat Souma and take the seat (She said She would) so Souma would have stuck at second seat while Erina being the first
@@JunkoEnoshima. , then again that might not be true their both growing at different rates and to be honest I feel like if Erin’s didn’t end up as director they would constantly be having shokugeki’s for the first seat.
Asahi is the worst character with the worst character arc and with the worst motive as a villain. I hope they dont make that cursed arc and just make something else like a backstory
The whole Blue arc in the manga was an absolute dumpster fire. Hopefully the anime will have a chance to rectify some of that mess. If not, we're in for a stream of molten crap.
So Soma did all of that just so that he could get the first seat; he knew that if she was still around, he would never get that seat for himself... Clever boy...
Soma is likely holding the position until he can reclaim it from erina the right way by making erina admit she likes Soma's cooking also I believe Soma legitimately believes erina to be the right person for director at totsuki I mean she probably was going to take over her grandfather when she graduated anyway and besides we get and explanation of why Soma is 1st seat in the arc after this in which asahi is introduced who is going to give Soma a round for his money
Rika I’m aware that he was just a sneak peek character into the next arc and I have read the manga and it wouldn’t be that surprising when they release the next season but this would also make Azami more hated. In my opinion i think that this character is weirdly or just poorly written that makes people hate this arc
Intensify Right but I’m saying they didn’t even say anything about Azami in their comment. People hate the next arc because of what happens and what’s introduced in the next arc not just poor character writing. Though that probably plays a part in it as well.
It makes perfect sense given what she already accomplished. Lets look at the evidence: 1- She is respected by the entire team 2- She bonded with her team and believes in them 3- She trained them so they would have everything they need for the Hokkaido trials 4- She organized their strategy so they they could systematically take out the strongest members of the other team 5- She inspired a sense of teamwork that resulted in them making excellent tactical decisions on the field She did all that because she cared deeply for her team. Erina was already doing an excellent job as a leader, so naming her director is only natural.
@@yenzotsi38 Why he had to give Erina almost the same plot as the previous arc with her trauma from her father, except that plot was really well developed for this one, but in the final arc they just made her pathetic from the god tongue bullshit until Souma put some sense in her head.
@@JRavec Of course Erina having essentially the same arc all over again is a problem but it doesn't compare to the bullshit they had Souma going through.
I never understood this. How does someone be a student at a school while simultaneously being the headmaster of the school as well? They really should've just made Erina first seat and Soma second so that he was still technically equal with his father and have the last arc being about Soma surpassing his father.
No U Now that would’ve been a better ending arc! Soma manages to take the first seat from Nakiri in a Shokugeki- she acknowledges his cooking is delicious, and he finally manages to surpass his father by fighting him directly (rather than by the overpowered proxy, Asahi). They could even show the flashback to his mom and have Joichiro say she’d be proud of him! The final arc could’ve been handled much better than it was (imo) that’s for sure.
0:36 Random thing to notice, but this is basically the exact same face Bakugo made in My Hero Academia when Midoriya and the others were discussing how to protect him during the training camp arc in season 3.
Trolled her mid competition and trolled after her after it. The sweet part is that she loves that he drives her bonkers. And the adults are all "We know."
You know this is an anime when everyone of us have normalized that a 1st year High School student is designated as Headmistress of the most important culinary school in Japan.
@@kotoamatsukami- Unfortunately, this idea of Erina being the headmistress isn't exactly the best and what's more is the final arc doesn't really give the ending that it deserved. If they had given the author a break for a month, it could've been better.
Will Shinomiya's Spinoff become a 12 episode anime? The Aldini Brothers also have a spinoff with their own manga or noval. Rindou may as well end up in an Isekei during her time in college. Being the most savage of the elites and most the gluttonous in the series.
Half the "good animation" in food wars is motionless pictures of naked girls with slight movement. To compare that animation work to actual action scenes is dumb imo
Asahi might be the villain in season 5 because it might have been him in the last scene of episode 12 By the way people arato and erina might be together instead of erina and soma
I hope that the BLUE arc gets rewritten. Read the manga and you will know what utter bullshit it has on the final arc. Seriously, the idea of Asahi, a character coming out of nowhere and is apparently Soma’s long lost brother beating Saiba, Soma and the former 1st seat is utter bullshit on it’s own. And that’s just the surface of this crap.
This conclusion to the train arc is the only way a typical shounen show could/would have gone, outside of going back to essentially a development restart and having the series end having gone basically nowhere. Everything had been explored, majority / the most important characters had their development, and the adults had all had their roles played out in full already. Just like Harry Potter and other for teen shows centered around teenagers, and the shounen genre, a conclusion where the protagonist teens become the most important figures - when the shows been all about that - is to be expected. But with such an obvious conclusion, I don't know why the author continued it on into Blue, specifically without his lead chef who keeps the dishes grounded, possible, and realistic just that little bit. I guess he was still under publishing contract, because the show should have come to a true end "just before" Blue kicked off, as a sort of "thing on the horizon" future for the audience to part the cast with.
This was a Great Anime I cant wait for season 5 and what the character in the end of the episode is like.i hope he not much good but a starter that confidence on his skills!!
If you want to read the next arc do it, but I can assure you it's not good... well just the last chapters because they talk about a character that we were waiting for
You probably wouldn’t want to. The next villain is the avatar of bullshit Gary Stu. The new villain, Asahi is apparently Soma’s long lost brother and he suddenly shows up and completely beat the absolute crap out of everyone inexplicably. Even Saiba. And apparently he can learn anyone’s skills by holding their knife or something, I don’t even comprehend this shit anymore, and I refuse to acknowledge that final arc as part of the series.
To be fair ... they did skip through a lot of crap to prepare for the Blue Arc that was in the manga. I feel like if the Blue Arc is to be done, it would be translated better through animation because the manga really failed us at the end. Who wouldn't want to see how the new Elite Ten functions? And we get actual villains in the Blue Arc (and not just very strong schoolmates) and I thought a lot of the concepts were pretty cool. The ending just sucked though. Hopefully the anime fulfills this dissatisfaction. Honestly, what really sucks is the ending but the stuff before that I thought was feasible. Megumi is empowered more in the Blue Arc and we see the real reason why the former director fostered the Jewels Generation. Also a couple moms are exposed to the light for who they are ...
