It was either this or waiting for his contract to end at the end of the season and leave. The guy was pissed off by the lack of commitment from the players and the shitty management so he ranted got everyone in a bad mood, got sacked, got paid the remainder of his contract and is now free to seek something else while spurs are just left hanging. Conte knew exactly what he was doing, and got paid for it, smart man.
