Irish guy gets it. Fans should be grateful Lampard was loyal enough to even accept this caretaker job. He’s better than having the Bruno guy that’s not even a coach. Fans will cheer him unlike the Potter boos and players will play for him. That’s the best we can hope for till the season ends.
Bringing the daily mourinho news to the Irish guy Speaking of elite managers first job to learn the job One of Jose's first job which was forgotten was him taking union de lereira. A mid table portugease team who had been promoted just a few years before. In 5 months mourinho took them from that to 3rd in the league ahead of Porto. Which eventually made Porto take jose mid season
@@hmzirqhazard1950 No way on earth he goes to saudi Arabia 😂. He had an even bigger offer from China after man united but I think Jose has too much respect for himself and his career to ever take that kind of job. And also I think his ego wants to keep winning European titles in major countries to shut down his critics
By summer, Chelsea would of had 5 different Managers under their new owners: 1) Tuchel 2) Potter 3) Saltor (for one game) 4) Frank Lampard 5) Naglesmann/Enrique (which ever gets appointed) All 5 within one year. This club is no longer serious
As a Chelsea fan, i still believe that he can do something. You cant just score that many goals and have the brain of an oaf. As long as his passion is reignited for Chelsea and Boehly doesnt ask him to play 2 goalkeepers at the same time it COULD work. He has not a lot of pressure (as our season is already shit) and hes experienced under must-win scenarios. Hopefully it carries over to this 2nd attempt, because we really need it
@salem small club would be sticking with Potter till the end of the season while looking for a new manager. Lampard is pretty much the best you could get without committing to another manager that you haven't done your full research and planning with. Chelsea do not want to repeat the Potter folly with Enrique or Nagelsmann so they get a feel good story of a manager in Lamps to do his best. If he does well, he gets a big job in the Prem or maybe overseas like Brugge or Twente. If he flops, the season was already written off on April 1st so only Lamps reputation is harmed. Lamps has all to gain and less to lose from doing his best. Lampard is going to bring positivity to Chelsea are at least get the fans more or less united behind the team for at least after the 2nd leg of the UCL.
@@rascallybloom567 Nah with 39 points Chelsea is probably safe even if they don't pick up points for the rest of the season. Still tho not impossible to imagine this Chelsea team ending up on 40,41, or 42 points and getting relegated
1:34 Vigor Lamezia? How curious, I lived near their city (Lamezia Terme) as a kid. So weird to hear the Irish Guy mention this possibly random city in the southern tip of Italy
See I was thinking this, but he also hadn't yet gone into full time management. Lampard has already had three chances at full time management, and already having to take part-time roles
yes, they probably don't feel like paying Bayern millions for Nagelsmann, he still has a release clause, so it could take months to figure that one out, especially since the Bosses at Bayern just said, they'll take their time with this...
daily Potter news: Potter is now in contention for the West ham job as West Ham are set to consider the future of David Moyes, in the summer. He is also a target for Leicester city after they sacked Brendan Rodgers.
Lampard is not a manager, he took charge of a financially juiced team in Derby, failed, and failed.I have socks with the same record except they did not knowingly cheat.
@@AwesomeGodzilla got us top 4 with the kids during a transfer ban. and to an fa cup final. also built the tens thomas won the champions league with. wouldn’t call him a failure he did his job spectacularly. he wasn’t supposed to win trophies but to steady the ship and secure top 4 witch he did. he’s here to steady the ship again.
hate to say it, but Arteta did it right. Become a coach, learn from the best and then get your own gig. I'd have Redknapp back at spurs just for the culture
Lampard will never fade away at Chelsea. He can always be an assistant or youth coach
Lampard mentioned in an interview how Harry Redknapp, his uncle, asked him what he thought about the Derby job, and then Harry called the Derby chairman to arrange an interview with Lampard...ain't nepotism grand!
Don't know why people are moaning about Lampard coming back it's a smart choice imo, makes the fans happy, gives the club more time to carefully pick who's the right manager for next season
If he wants it, I can see Lampard being the next USA head coach, they're in need of a change in direction, he could build a team around Pulisic with the young, energetic players they have and he'd do really well
Bro I feel so bad for Chealsea fans they’ve gone from winning the UCL with a really good manager to getting mid table managers that don’t know what they are doing in just 18 months
It’s fine. As a Chelsea fan, we got to accept that this season is bad for us. No exceptions. We have to go again next season. Lamp add is only here for the rest of this season. Next season we should get a better manager
As a Man Utd fan I can't get my head round Leicester city, sure they're not top 5 material anymore and sure they won one premier league in more recent years. But second from bottom? Like how, it's not like they have a team of terrible players. They of the bottom teams have a legit solid squad, even a few top tier players too. I could understand if they were 14th, 15th at worst but 19th? I am stunned to say the least.
Please god talk about the Hodgson rehiring. It is one of the most depressing situations in the EFL, that the board is so okay with being dogshit. Steve Parish should be ashamed
There isn't much difference, at all, to Lampard and Ancelotti(when he began his coaching career) -Both young ex midfielders with brilliant playing careers -Both known to be good man managers with no particular play style -Ancelotti was also accused of being hired in his early years because of his name as a player and how much players liked and respected him, like Lampard. -both were also sacked in their first few jobs
Nah this is great for Chelsea if nobody can see that Chelsea where bang out of order to sack him the first time around is braindead the team he built went on to win the UCL 3months after he was sacked that wasn't tuckle it was Lampards team he wasn't given a chance and I think he will take his chance this time around not even Zidane could save Everton with the form they are in the last few years so Lampards career can only get better
Honestly, Lampard as USMNT boss would be a decent shout. > Experience with Pulisic, which coincided with his finest form in a Chelsea shirt > Track record of playing youth talent (Mount and Tomori at Derby, Mount/James/Tammy at Chelsea) > I'm sure he commands Folarin Balogun's respect and could be seen as a hire made with Flo in mind > Claudio Reyna doesn't know him well and can't attempt to blackmail him > Objectively a better coach than Gregggggg > Speaks the same language as the squad, unlike other candidates in the past (Tata Martino) > Would considerably raise the prestige of the USMNT job > Again, better than Gregggggg > It's not hard to be better than Gregggggg > Hear me out: probably also better than Southgate Who says no?
As an Everton fan, I love this. Takes the spotlight off us as the biggest laughing stock in the league, if only until we get a 15 points deduction on the final day of the season.
First Hodgson rejoins Palace... Then Lampard rejoins Chelsea... Would it surprise anyone to hear that Martin O'Neill has been offered and accepted the post of interim Leicester manager in a week or so?
Lampard got sacked for being shit went to Everton was even shitter and Chelsea thought ye let’s bring him back that’s a good idea 😂😂😂 idc if it’s just temporary it’s embarrassing I don’t know how some people r actually saying this is a good appointment
