I decided to try out this neato Juvtmall TFT LCD Display 5 Inch 800×480 Touch Screen for the Raspberry Pi on Amazon for $35 to be used on my Raspberry Pi Synthesizer project. Get yours today right here!: amzn.to/2NJka24
In this video I'll show you how to install and configure the touchscreen as well as setup SunVox to automatically start when you boot up the Raspberry Pi. This will make it seem more like a single-use appliance, yet have the background power of the Pi that can be further customized at any time.

Overall I am very happy with the results considering how cheap this screen was. I think if I could choose again, I'd go with a 7" model just to have a little more space. But ideally, the screen is there only for visuals. Once you have SunVox customized the way you want, you technically wouldn't even need to use a screen after you've set your MIDI mappings and instrument modules.
Stay tuned for a future video on putting this all together in a nice portable box to be used in the studio and at rehearsals.
Thank you for watching!
