Currently going through one of the most stressful and depressing times of my life - scary stuff with some very dark thoughts , not watched utube in weeks but between Sam from STG and Tim today I managed to cheer me up. Visited NYC for the first time in March for my 40th Loved it. The GT looks so good out there. Should have gone to the Peak whilst at Hudson yards... epic views.

I walked through Times Square almost every day to get to work...I never drove in NYC because parking never happens...I got rid of my 300zx within the first 2 weeks in the city and bought an old 2005 Ford Focus...driving through Manhattan is fun...parking or living with a valuable car is soul destroying...lol...can't wait for your adventures with the solar beam GT Black Series across this expansive and varied vibes country Mr. Tim...because only NYC is like NYC as you well know my traveled RU-vid friend. 🥳
Oh yeah, great to see the car in NYC and the kickoff of the US tour! But please Tim, give us more of a scenery along the way, like the driving videos between Nurburgring and London, cause many of the videos from the US tours have been from garage to garage, event to event, without much scenery and driving in between 🙃
yeah we would love to be part of the journey enjoying the scenery same like you did in your prev gtc4 lusso driving in the midnight along the autobahn or see the rear flame from the senna

Welcome back to NJ/NYC! Love to always have ya back out here :) Also agreed, I hate driving my Audi RS5 on these NYC streets despite of some road improvements (i.e. 42nd Street etc.). Let alone with the Porsche GT3RS, it's be utter hell. @Shmee150 I highly recommend going through Bear Mountain, beautiful scenery and drives. Stay safe and hope to catch ya sometime!

Every time I see a cool r8 or anything I’m like daymn and some NPCs walk past an AMG black series and don’t even bat a look. Some people just don’t have the love 😭

Shmee please come thru upstate NY there is absolutely beautiful fall foliage to drive that beautiful car around and if you can make it far enough upstate please drive thru Rochester NY for the fall foliage! There is some great food stops you can make here as well and of course it’s nothing like NYC in terms of sky scrapers and people but on the contrary it’s nice and relaxed and the trees and foliage are amazing here this time of year! You can drive along the historic Erie Canal thru some historical little canal towns while the fall colors are in full swing!
Greenwich, Connecticut is one of the best nearby cities to car spot! Less congested than NYC, less traffic, less potholes. I recommend carspotting there one day
A little update on the tarmac. You're basically here at the optimal time of year in regards to the quality of the streets. The snow and ice over the winter are the main culprits for the potholes and the repair work is ongoing during the summer and typically finishes right around this time.
I can’t even imagine how many amazing restaurants you passed to get to Chik Fil a. I’ve been a big fan of everything you’ve been doing but that was a huge misstep. But I forgive you and will continue to be a fan. 😂

You're making me miss that city. I know it well. Those are tourists taking photos in Times Square. No self-respecting native NYer would pay any notice to any car, except to sneer. You need to get the Merc to Tokyo next, where its RHD will be at home.

Best times to drive in New York, 10pm to about 5am weekdays, 9pm to about 9am weekends. Beware the pothole craters and construction zones. Best driving roads are Henry Hudson Pkwy, Grand Central Pkwy, Jackie Robinson Pkwy, Clearview Expwy, Belt Pkwy.
I hope you make it down to Tampa Florida before you head West. I would love for you to do a meet and greet in Tampa been a follower for years! Anyway, have a safe Adventure and can't wait to see more videos!
