For Lord De Seis on a cold sorc you can stick him in a corner or a wall with Telekinesis while your merc earns his pay. Stunlock ftw :) Interesting build idea in general. Thanks for showing not so cookie cutter setups.
@@gonzaloo.7303 for hardcore energy shield has one severe weakness: mana burn. you just never know when you're going to lose your shield in an instant so it's like... great... great... amazing... face rolling mobs.... dead (edit: tho a low investment mana shield which is just a extra layer of safety can be nice!)

I just made my first SP HC char ever and it honestly made the game even better. Hopefully I will obtain wizzy asap by Andy in hell, forgot about that one. Found it so frequently in non-ladder D2R and got tired of it, but in HC it really is a hidden gem. Thank you for this guide. I will test this, if I dont screw it up before finishing it. :)
Quite enjoying HC offline, has brought new meaning to the game for me. Having to break alot of old habits and learn more about the game. That being said sorc is a squishy start. Furthest Ive made it is has been Durance of Hate 1 with my trapsin. I play two chars usually so i dont get all depressed if one dies! Thanks for the tips. Now to make it to where I can accumulate this gear.

Im playing hc on my sorc right now, im only 2 hrs in at lvl 25 in act 3, and i think i like your setup. Ive done similar on other classes, but i wanted gear for the sorc on my sorc every time i played, inever really thought about using stuff meant for other classes which i could technically equip. Sorc can be a bit rough to play for most people but ive figured out that for me the blaze/inferno/warmth route has been super easy even on players 8. I plan on switching over to an orb/something else build later. Ive never managed to get geared up and level enough to switch to this yet and I'm excited. I think the offline play is superior to online play, even though its lonely. I wish they still had other multiplayer, and mods.

I’m working on level 91 with my main on single player on console, what a slog!!! I just wanna get to 93 to be able to gamble for the ideal amulets to use in crafting. Thankfully I’m on Necro and can rock my ethereal Ondal’s wisdom on my offhand for boss’s and juicy crowds. At first I was upset it was ethereal but then I realized it’s durability wasn’t going down cause I don’t even have ‘attack’ mapped on that toon. Ghost staff!
@@Vinqent That's -5/+4. If you're level 93, you'll have iLvl of item while gambling between 88 and 97, if you're 95 you'll have minimum iLvl 90 (which is needed to have +2 skills on amulets). If people usually aim for character level 93 it's because getting higher character level start to become hard : at level 93 you'll have a 80% chance to get an amulet iLvl 90+ (since only 88/89 rolls won't work, 90 to 97 will work). But level 95 is better. And also don't forget to get an Edge runeword (Tir+Tal+Amn) on a bow, and a Gheed's Fortune charm if you can, to get prices significantly reduced while gambling. I found Wizardspike last night, single player questing in Hell. Just found Stormshield grinding in Ancient Tunnels, to try survive Chaos Sanc. Yes the combo is very nice!
Been using this in HC since d2r came out. Only way to die is dc/ddos/or drop. They need to fix the 20second time delay before you char leaves game. Never use to be like that. Char would just drop immediately if you had dc/attack. Great stuff. It's incredibly strong with Sunder
@@AGVenge Save and exit still works from original. I'm talking about when you disconnect. The char stays in game longer. I believe they fixed it though. I dropped the other day and was back up and in before 20 seconds.
Don't do it. You survive everything besides mana burn. When you encounter mana burn, you have a chance of getting down to 0 in a heartbeat. Killing you instantly. I've experimented over and over again in single player. It is impossible to ignore the mana burn. That's why 90% or more use stormshield and max block/more vita than energy. I use no energy points, and get str, dex, vita as my main stats. I use enough str and dex to meet requirements of items and the dex just enough to reach 75% block. The rest gets dumped into vitality. You want a base of at least 700 health, and with cta, you can get up to 1100 or more. Which is enough.
Not into HC but anything that works HC can be used for non HC..i was interested in this as i have a cold sorc but then i saw the SS and other items i don't have..but still interesting for future if i get lucky with runes and item drops..
i recently heard that points above 20 in synergies dont provide any bonus. If that is true, should we just put in 20 minus whatever plus to skills bonuses we get?
Points above 20 do not add to synergy bonuses because only hard points affect synergy and you can't add more than 20 hard points to a skill. Stuff like Elemental/Weapon/etc Masteries function differently because it isn't explicitly a synergy, it's just provides its own direct benefit. I hope that helps!

But died trying to begin real farming runs in nightmare RIP Urza-IX lvl 67. I was gonna give up and play softcore but I'll try one more time
Lost my 66 sorc farming NM Baal. Never gonna teleport to “farm” again :). Realize that it’s best used to escape death. Kill everything on the way to Baal to get extra xp.
@@TrueHitman1979 Thanks - PC here. I already got a 65 sorc again, already done hell countess. Will prob farm her until 70-72 (as in, killing everything on the way to her xD) I have a summon necro in Act 5 hell and a paladin through NM. Kinda building up multiple characters at a time so any 1 loss doesn't feel as painful. (lost a 73 assassin hell act 2 as well - damn you maggot lair!)
@@Lex_Koncord I finished Hell with lvl 76 Blizz Sorc, when I tried to farm Hell Meph, I teleported to group of very fast plus mana burn stygian dolls. RIP HardSorcVI who made it through HC hell.
Any chance of a necro summoner build that has a chance of survival against hell Diablo/Baal? Smooth sailing through everything so far and then got annihilated in the chaos sanctuary repeatedly.
Hardest part with that build is getting the res required. I was trying to run a thorns-based summon build, to very little affect. Figured thorns would work better on all of my minions instead of just myself. Still looking for a Sur so I can make Bramble. Would help immensely.
@@Nah_Bohdi I could beat Hell Diablo and Baal easily with my summons. Once you have decrepify on them, it’s GG. May not be the fastest but my minions and I literally take almost zero damage.
awesome build, would be nice to get some MF tho, like 100 at least so its not a complete useless build to farm with, an ist on wizpike and 2 ptopzaz on helmet wouldnt hurt.. it would still be tanky af id switch the amulet too for something with +2 skill and MF, since all the amulet does is fire absorb and you already have 95% fire res.. kind of an overkill lol probably getting war travs instead as well.. but again, loved the build, wizpike is such an underrated item in this game
i really wish this game was 60fps on ps4 pro, it looks so smooth. Can’t complain much though, been having way too much fun playing D2 again, it’s still a very pretty looking game on console.
Ofc with practically zero mf you will not exactly get much godly loot with this build but still fun. Would be fun to see if you could solo ubers with this but with only one element of damage I guess that wont work?
I commented about your ES sorc that it's not really HC viable. Well this is immortal even for HC but it's also bit of overkill. You can easily swap few items to get more damage and mf. Anyways the concept is perfect. You are pretty much unkillable without guardian angel and crown of aegis. Shako+3 pieces of tal's (amu chest belt) for example would give you enough resistances to swap wiz spike to hoto and suddenly you can go for 105 fcr, you have more mf and more damage. You still would rock 45% dr with cap resistances. But you can use your build for situational ubertankiness for example if you want to farm nihlatak and be 100% safe.
Only the skeletons are cold immune. You simply kill the main units with cold damage, and any half decent mercenary should easily be able to kill the remaining skeletons (you can assist with static field and teleport to position your mercenary on top of the skeletons).
my suggestion for a switch take two daggers gull +100 mf each make sockets in it and insert ist runes. overall 260 mf. Plus if make it less tanky instead of sol replace with ptopaz. 300-320 mf more than enough. = tanky + mf. Just switch weapon before kills
Man I've got a question. How do you break ice immunity on hell monsters? I've got a lvl 80 blizzard sorcerer and, even though I've got 17 points in cold DMG I still make 0 DMG to ice inmune monsters. Please help me !
@@nicolasaltamiranofrontalin6523 Cold Mastery doesn't break immunity, only way to break immunity is with infinity. Even than Cold immune monsters have such high cold resistance that only a handful of monsters will have their immunity broken.
Yup. Damage seems to be on the low side plus cold immunes will slow your kill speed even more, and MF seems to be non-existent. It is pretty tough though, even with no energy shield. If i wanted a tough character i'd use that equipment on a Hammerdin. Easier to achieve that toughness on a hammerdin while still having some MF on it, plus very few monsters are immune to the Magic damage of Blessed Hammers. Sorceress is for teleporting all over the place while dealing a lot of damage.
Men love you way to explain in videos. But for this i have to say that if you are making a sorc is to make runs very fast not to be tanking... in that case make yourself a baba o paladin. But i guess it could work for people who has elbows instead of hands.
