You can see I’m not as sophisticated at videoing & editing & production, as yourself - everything’s hand held on the IPhone, and you get the unexpected interruptions like the compressor kicking in right in the middle dammit! 😂 I’m looking forward to spending some time on this one! Been waiting a long time! Have my eye on a bandsaw as well this coming week, hopefully that pans out too! 👍 It’s my 60th coming up in ~5 weeks so the Mortice Drill & bandsaw are me “treating myself”, since no one else will! 😂

I spent today up there still working on it, more cleaning, and getting strips of timber into the gibs on the cross slides, so I can use it, while waiting on brass flat bar pieces to come off evilbay to fit permanently in there. Thought I’d test drill one Mortice hole just to see how it worked! First time plugged in, the motor hummed but wouldn’t spin! Pulled the 3 phase plug off, swapped L1&L3 wires over & away she went! 👍 Tried to drill a hole & no go, the wood was burning & no chips coming out & extremely hard to push into soft pine wood! 👎 Had a closer look & it was spinning alright, only backwards! 😳🤪😂 Plug off again, swapped L1 with L2 wires this time, & NOW it spins the correct way! Test drilled a mortice & it works awesome! I’m going to love this drill press - I can just tell! 👍👍👍
