It's crazy how Salah doesn't get more PR. This guy has been the most consistent world class player in the last decade below Messi and Ronaldo. If he was English or French he would have been getting way more prop, just look at Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer for example when he's achieved 10x more.
14:31 On that point, I was in a heavy metal band, when we did gigs we’d throw softer slower songs in to give the audience a bit of a break then the heavy songs would hit way harder, anfield’s atmosphere is similar where the breaks make the louder moments more impactful.
The thing about the atmosphere is very true. I went to a Hanover 96 game: INSANE atmosphere, drums, flairs, MC shouting.. SO LOUD THE WHOLE TIME…… but then we (Hannover scored) and you don’t really notice it in terms of at atmosphere. Hilarious analogy btw 😂
James love the sound of your podcast. Anyone who dislikes Andrew Tate must also be good for our young men. Also nice to see man being able to be open and honest about how they feel. Good for us all. Will be subscribing.
Being pressed and not able to go through midfield, option is to go long which started of winning second ball and lead to penalty. Which also gives variety to go back through midfield which Liverpool did. Great pictures of Curtis holding baby with Cole palmer face on baby lol 😂
It was a very good performance imo. Our tactics were decent for the most part & we were in control for the majority of the match even without the ball as possession doesn't automatically equal control if you don't do anything with it.
Great result, but i would be slightly concerned about our approach at anfield yesterday going forward, both chelsea and bologne have come to anfield and knocked it about far to easy, i get were not constant high press like under klopp but if were sitting off more in our shape we need to make sure we cut off the passing lanes better, chelsea played forward into midfield far too easy and this included the goal. Szobo has to lift his game when in possession and offer much more in terms of linking play and finding passes for wide men and centre forward, especially when its so tight in the middle of the park, he shud be the one finding the space, with mcallister, jones in this form and elliott coming back szoboszlai under big pressure for his place.
The only reason Chelsea had the possession and the momentum is because we let them. We were ahead and playing with a more pragmatic approach. As soon as Chelsea equalised we went forward and replied straight away, exactly like we did against Wolves (I think). That’s not a coincidence, that’s the way we play now.
what on earth are these people waffling about Macallister, he literally is the guy who keeps things ticking. you drop Szoboszlai, he ran himself to the ground because he constantly kept losing the ball and is a horrendous passer. put the whole team under pressure constantly and nearly caused us to concede a goal in the seventy second minute.
The guest is right, I was never bothered by Chelsea, our defence was rock solid, and we let them have the ball, we were not gonna be like last game after international. In truth it was Men (us) against Boys.
Observation. The 2nd Penalty VAR rules out. Nunez threaded a brilliant pass through to Jones- who had time to look up an place the ball bye the keeper , he stumbled, the keeper clattered into him.VAR said the keeper got a slightest touches to the ball first, but forgets Jones as defender pushing him forward and GK taking him out, anywhere else on pitch it is foul. Gapko goal ruled offside, because of Salah, but Trent takes 2 seconds to pass an easy first time ball. Salah offside was down to Trent not playing quick enough
Agree on the push in the back...var/Michael Oliver forgot to review that Wasn't it Jones who delayed it to Salah...it looked like he was going to shoot then decided to pass to Salah
It was Jones who was too slow to play the pass. He was great yesterday but twice in the first half he held onto the ball for far too long. As for the second penalty I agree it was a penalty especially after it was given on the field but again Jones should have been quicker and got a shot off before it got as far as the keeper clattering into him.
Naa I'm not having that Jones is almost as good as Mac Allister. He is so underrated. He is the quietly world class glue guy that lets the midfield work. If he had played we'd have had more possession and suffered fewer shots on goal.
Biggest difference is we don't let in the first goal.. we have a stingy defence. Stingy defences can win a PL. City have had trouble keeping clean sheets throughout last season and its got worse. They're going to start conceding more first and playing catch up, like what we did under Klopp. Tides have turned..
Lfc are built on upgrading internally and grabbing MAJOR players such as VVD, Alison, Salah externally. Jones is the answer, that lad plays with pure heart and that's something money can't buy.
I can't remember that many games where Curtis hasn't performed when the teams performed. I love Szobo but I haven't seen any end product in that advanced role
B.s about this an that a field has gone cold and quiet am not dissin my own kop but it's obvious people keep on about the a field noise am 45 an that noise started dieing 25 years ago it needs to be addressed not brushed over
It used to be oohh it's all the Norway people or the Danes this that b.s all are welcome day trippers rich guys that wouldn't survive 5 minutes in the city anyone just make some noise
Italian footy isn't shite at all. AC and bologna are probably the weakest of the italian teams in the champs league though. Inter obviously look really strong and juve doing well under motta
Chloe's dumbest comment of the day. 'i think a 2-1 is bigger than a 3-1 win'. And Chris appropriately says 'did you have this conversation out loud or in your head '😂. Seriously Chloe slow down and engage your brain before you speak
