After a lot of tries and lost runs to the cursed Misayama Hunting Shrine Ritual, I've finally achieved a perfect. It's also my first time editing to add tips to the video.
It absolutely does. I played all Touhou games from 1 to 10 so far, and there's always a point where I think "This is some serious bullshit" (when it gets stupidly hard, basically). In most games that's on Stage 6, but here it was Stage 4. Like, seriously, I was using Marisa C (I think) and just couldn't win at all. I had to change characters to win
Maybe it's because im getting more experienced, but I felt it was a bit easier than 8 or 6, until the last stage. Kanako is harder than every windows last boss before her for me.
Came here incase there were any tips on how to dodge Hunting Shrine Ritual in a way that makes sense. I've used Reimu C and just kinda skipped all the way to the other side of the screen to avoid having to squeeze in through a dense part of the knives. The method you're using doesn't seem any more appealing. At least it ends faster? 😭 This card is a whole menace. Thank god no one will ever experience a Hard or Lunatic mode version of it.
At the first attack try starting from right and head to the left, then for the next attack go from left to right and repeat the cycle. At least for me it seems like the easiest way to navigate through the projectiles and avoid the homing knifes by heading to the side corner unfocused.
Sorry, didn't catch your comment. PiV is Point Item Value, which determines the maximum points obtainable from a single blue point item. This is shown at the bottom-left corner. Because the game gives you extra lives at certain scores, keeping the PiV up is crucial to getting all the lives you can. PoC is Point of Collection, which is a horizontal bar. When players go above this line, all items onscreen are drawn towards the player, which allows for easy item collection. Blue point items also have their max value above this line.
