player: believe in me this is easy character: nononono i will die you are crazy enemies: wtf is this character stupidly crazy bosses after seeing graze: oh shit
Hmm did the guy who created this TAS purposely extended the fights until the timer is almost up? Aren't TAS runs supposed to be as fast as possible? edit: Oh is it because the guy wanted very high graze points?
Yeah, it was for super grazing to increase the spell bonus as high as possible and for more points in general. Touhou TASes include both speed plays and score plays.
The most famous TAS runs are the ones optimized for completing games as fast as possible, so the abbreviation is commonly interpreted as Tool-Assisted Speedrun. However, the actual full term is Tool-Assisted *Superplay,* which encompasses high score runs and playaround runs as well as speedruns.
It would be neat to see a counter stop run of Imperishable Night, though the fact that spell bonuses have maximum vales in that game could be a bit of an issue. There is an Extra TAS of that game by kopiapoa, though.
@@RankoHoshino 8 has the advantage of having a max point value of 600,000 at the very start, and can go to the millions even without TAS. The purple stuff can become very precious, i think a TAS could generate a lot of them. The spellcard bonus cap, as you said, makes it unclear if 8 can be counterstopped though
