Fun fact: Reimu is actually portrayed as “the final boss” for some scenarios in the fighting games and is kind of very antagonistic in most of the literature that Zun wrote where she isn’t the main focus. Tidbits of her desire for peace were shown when Toyosatomimi no Miko read her desire for peace without violence but Zun said that she grows out of her final boss side at ULiL where her true character is shown at the fight between her and Sumireko.
