Hey CyclingDane, I always enjoy your videos and am happy to give you a thumbs-up, but please consider turning down the music in the background - it's a huge distractor from your flat (not to criticize) voice, and after about two minutes, it makes me want to change the channel.

I disagree with Remco in fourth, since he is not known for his mountain prowess which was shown in his return after the crash. Landa gotten a higher GC posistion in both of their And also why I think Jonas should be higher in second and disagree with the comments here. Since he has shown expertise in the mountains, albeit before that crash but given Remco's success in that TT afterwards I am expecting Jonas to show similar form on the mountains.

Too bad Sepp isn't riding the TdF. Conspiracy theories are that this is payback to Vin for attacking him at the 2023 Vuelta instead of riding in a support role. It's plausible. Primoz has the best shot against Pog if he can avoid crashing.

Lately, I've been thinking that my podium predictions for the TdF are: First Place: Vingegaard, Second: Pogacar, Third: Adam Yates or Roglic. I know Vingegaard got injured, and I know that Pogacar has been very dominant this season, but I still think Vingegaard showed earlier this year that he's more skilled this year than last year. I think it would be exciting if Pogacar or Roglic wins this year's TdF, but, right now, I think Vingegaard will win this year's TdF.

Ineos look a poor team compared to the top 3 teams, they will be even weaker if they take Pidcock. I hate the idea of Pogi being compared to the Italian drug master!

have to know the fitness of Roglic, if it's not 100 percent, it will be Pogacar, like the Giro. Remco isn't climbing great, and Vinegaard almost died 4 months ago, so.....way bummer, would have been awesome to have all the greats fit and at the starting line. We'll have to look for crashes and some dark horses. It doesn't make it any better than Kuss isn't in racing, either. Jorgensen could be good, but against Pogacar? Hope so and it's not a blowout.

I don't see the ego to Pidcock allowing him to serve in any support of Rodriguez. Pidcock is out for himself and the H*** with anyone else on the team. Adore Jonas but feel that he and/or team are rushing it. Regrettably not his year, Tadej will take the TdF.

Pidcock is a talent, but not as a GC contender. I agree, he’s not a good teammate when it comes to supporting a superior rider.

Sorry, my favorite Danish anchovy fan from Denmark, but I don't see Jonas getting on the podium this year. If he finishes, he'll be 4th or 5th, but my prediction is that he'll quit midway through the Tour. My list for the top 5 spots: 1. Pog, 2. Roglic (if he stays on the bike), 3. A. Yates, 4**. Jonas (if he doesn't quit), 5. Remco. **If Jonas quits after the first week and Visma picks Jorgensen as the leader, I think Jorgensen can place in the top 5. Meanwhile, I will kick off the Tour by popping open a Tuborg, snacking on smørrebrød, and donning my Viking helmet to cheer for my favorite Viking outside of Denmark, which is Pog. I might even summon Thor with my cheering. If Jonas does better than 4th, I’ll eat my Viking helmet with a side of pickled herring!

@@tobiasdencker853 Defending champion is one reason, sure, but let's be real-sponsors are like 70% of that decision. And health-wise? It's basically a training ride for the Vuelta. Like, "Oh, you're the defending champ? That's cute. Now go pedal around France so we can plaster logos all over you."

@@deandean561 I hope he stays too, but I just think that UAE will put the pedal to the metal with Pog on the first 4 stages in the first week. As for Jonas, he's a big unknown, especially because he wasn't racing 40 days prior to the Tour. But hey, he went to an altitude camp! Because, you know, oxygen deprivation is the same as actual racing. When I listen to the pros, they say altitude training doesn’t replace racing. Sure, it gets you focused on training with no distractions from family or friends. Who needs family and friends when you have thin air and mountain goats for company? He's a great rider, and his pride and ability will propel him to go beyond the red. I just hope he survives till the last trial stage, which, funnily enough, is a copy of last year's stage where he crashed. If he stays close to Pog or Roglic, things will get really interesting. Maybe he'll even avoid crashing this time!

@@kkryspin the doctors gonna give Jonas enough medicine to keep his watts per kg.(injury medicine of course)Descend though I doubt he would pedal as much like last year tt. Roglic is the last person to help Jonas based on what happen in last year vuelta. Pogi definitely will test Jonas at some point. If he come to the tour lighter than last year, he got better chances.

I’ve been riding a road bike for over 63 yrs. But have never watched the tour for more than three minutes. First, watching the Same wreck twice in two minutes. Most of all, can’t have respect for the riders using drugs in order to win.
