The picture of Jesus that used to be the first thing you saw when you walked into the sanctuary is in safe hands I've been told. Some people did not like the picture. I know do you believe that. So it was decided that instead of offending anyone it would be removed. My great-grandmother was Laura VanSant. She was descended from Joel one of Nicholas sons. He was the one who carried on the family ship building business. When a lot of his brothers went on to the ministry

Very nice. I took two pictures inside the sanctuary in the late 1990s. In those days all the old glass globe light fixtures were still in the ceiling, and still in use. In one of the pictures you can clearly see the picture of Jesus, the pulpit, the ministers' chairs, and the two flags. In those days the church was left unlocked on Sundays, so I just walked in and took my pictures. That day I also photographed all 6 of the windows in the sanctuary. On another day, I showed a friend the inside of the church. Then he and I climbed up to the bell, and I think even higher. I think the ceiling fans kind of spoil the look of the sanctuary, but that's just my opinion.

Mr.john stetzer, redid alot of the stained glass in the early 90s.if u go into the big a frame, and see all the binder cables holding the roof structure from kickicking off the walls..I helped mr.stetzer bind all those.back and forth, for days to pull her back in.. would've liked to see more of the steeple steps footage.from what I remember it was scetchy.

Thanks Brian. The steeple "ladder" is sketchy and very dark so I didn't get much footage in there. It's still an incredibly solid building.

Wow man do I remember the ruckus I caused here!!! Hahhaha!!!! So many great memories with all of us. Didn't Tom Van Sant grow his hair out like a mutated frog. Haha!!! So Ron Smith was the pastor of my wife's church growing up before coming here. I heard after JD left it got pretty bad. Still a great looking Church.

The pulpit, ministers' chairs, communion table and chairs, the picture of Jesus, and the flags, all need to be put back where they belong. It doesn't look right in there without them. I was in there in June of 2021, and it just didn't look right without all that. I'm pretty sure I saw original pulpit and chairs piled up in a corner of the balcony.

There have been some changes but overall it hasn’t changed much in my opinion. Thanks for watching.
