Building progress updated and finally furnished. My house in Merida Mexico is near completion now. Building a house in Mérida requires patience to say the least. If you are considering buying a house in Mérida weigh the options of buying a lot to build on vs buying something turn key. If you have the 2 years (approximately) to wait while your house is being built then you may want to consider building, to get exactly what you want. However, there are plenty of great, turn key, houses on the market as well. There's a lid for every pot I say. If you are not familiar with Merida Yucatan then renting first is recommended.
