Not sure if you noticed, but those Accords were SIR-T models, 2 of only 750 ever produced. Often overlooked, rare cars.

The reason for the almost new cars being scrapped is that the car inspection test means an almost total strip dowm. Its so expensive that many people just junk the car and buy another.

You know what's sad? The guy shooting the video didn't even know that the B4 were actually RSK and Blitzen. Same for the VR4. Else he'd have shown more. That MR2 made me feel something too.

Matt In Illinois I never drove one, but oh how I wish I could. Snap oversteer... What's the fun in owning a car that doesn't try to kill you? To hell with safety! I wish they would deregulate and bring these back...

Matt In Illinois I don't think it's just America. It's a global thing. Bureaucracy took all the fun out of cars. Now we have these fat ugmo boxes with giant A-pillars and no rear visibility whatsoever. And they tease us with the FR-S and BRZ like we're supposed to like that shit. No place in this world for compact lightweight agile fun machines anymore... Even the new Lotus got fatter and heavier.

Wow, are all of the junk yards like that? That just sucks, you cant fully get all of the car when there is crap stacked on it. All the great parts there to get but cant cause theres a freaking car on top of it!!! It just looks so dangerous, and the tires were not taken off either. Wonder if they even drain the fluids...just looks like a big unorganized mess that can be hurting the environment.

Yes, most junkyards are like this. The fluids are all drained. After they sit in this lot for a while and parts are sold from them, they get disassembled and recycled.

ThatKidKc722 Alot of good comes of scrap yards. And the stacking dosnt hirt the cars as much as you think. And as for safety, your more likely to injure yourself walking down the sidewalk then snooping around a scrap yard.

+ThatKidKc722 stacking the cars has no environmental impact BUT the fact that these cars are stacked 2-3 high does lead to a SAFETY issue. I dont wanna be working on a car that has ANOTHER car on top of it. OSHA would have a field day if they did this here in the states, but i am amazed that most of the cars on the bottom arent showing any signs of buckling on the roof or A-B-C pillars either they are STRICTER in japan over that sort of thing now or the cars on the top are stripped down without an engine and drivetrain.......

+AMERICAN BADASS 14 i worked at a scarp yard in the U.S. for a couple months where we would stack cars 2 high if they had the motors and everything or 3 high if it was just the shells. Not a single car ever fell in my 8 months of working there so really the cars are pretty safe like that depending on if the person who stacked them did it in a safe manor.

great look at a Japanese scrap yard... thanks for recording and sharing. Question, I noticed a lot of the cars with airbags had them deployed, although there didn't appear to be any collision damage. Is it that they manually trigger the airbags, I guess so they aren't an injury hazard anymore to the people scrapping the cars?

that 4 door skyline still had the engine in it, looks like a RB25DE NEO to me. if that engine is solid, it would surly make a good engine for a project car

I also noticed a late 90's Mitsubishi Galant VR4 and alot of Subaru Legacy/Liberty B4's. I remember that the most due to Mighty Car Mods Gramps and SuperGramps. Was also a poor to see and Honda accord with a H22 in it (blue valve cover). That MR2 was also in really bad shape. The 2 4-door Skyline are BNR34's right?? Loved to see those, and would love one of them! All of them are so cool! Just bad to see it in this bad shape. Thanks for showing them!

importers here in the philippines will and can still sell those for about half OR 1/3rd of the factory price after they get converted to LHD....

I was thinking about this, What mad me cry was the Skyline, and the daihatsu midget II, But if you went to an American Scrap yard, maybe other people would cry seeing Countless Mustangs, Camaros, and Challangers. Also, if you love pick up trucks, I see SVT lightnings and Raptors.

None of the things you stated are true about modern pickups. You have ammo as your profile picture, but are such an uneducated hippie you think trucks put off more pollution than an r32 that is not legal in the us. (If i remember right, it is actually illegal for the reason of pollution.

***** The US has emmissions standars, any vehicle built here meets them. The skyline does not meet the emissions reg,(r32 and r33) so yes my (stock btw) pickup burns way cleaner than any of these. ANd diesel burns WAY cleaner than gasoline.

***** Emissions is just a part of the problem regarding it's importation legality. A lot of it is actually cosmetics. You can't have JDM headlights so they have to be swapped to US style. Right hand drive is a big part of it as well. That much I know, but I don't know all of the details because unfortunately I don't have enough money to even worry about importing a Skyline. As far as soot not hurting the enviroment... LMAO. The soot that comes out of diesels is unburned fuel. That most definitely does hurt the environment. Not that I really give a fuck anyways, but thick black smoke is not an environment booster. That's common sense 101...

Those small trucks in Japan are known as Japanese mini trucks, and my grandpa actually imports them and sells them in Utah.

josiah keys Nah it depends on the model, if it's a GT, GTT or GTS it has an older model RB25 engine, which IIRC is from the R32, still a great engine but it's not the amazing RB26.
