I loved Corpus. Lived there for 2 years on North Beach. Worked at what is the Raddison now. Absolutely loved it there.

I just moved to Corpus this past summer and I absolutely love it. My only complaint would be that the roads are mostly horrible once you get away from the beach front. I agree with another commenter that you have a good voice and cadence for this type of video. If you ever want to do this again with some drone footage of the city and beach, let me know.

I've always said for 20 years that Houston/Greater Houston is our Los Angeles/Greater Los Angeles. DFW/D is our SF/Oak/SJ Bay Area. San Antonio is our Phoenix with a romantic river. Austin is our Southwestern Style New Orleans/Portland. Corpus Christi/ N & S Padre is our smaller San Diego/Coronado. Originally from SE San Antonio. Been in Pasadena & Houston for 7 years. I see nuthin but money 💰💰💰everytime I drove trucks for deliveries through Corpus for 3 1/2 years from The H and The Tone. 💖C.C. 4 LIFE.

Corpus Christi is the most undiscovered and undeveloped swath of coastal real estate in the nation on ANY coast…Pacific,Gulf, or Atlantic or Great Lakes , which to many locals is just fine. Many people want it to have serious native and local control growth ,and do not by any means want any big national , or international or powerful developers to come in and radically change the ambiance,tempo,or temperament of the city or local adjacent towns . To this end , the city always has a flavor of a locale that the train or autobahn…so to speak, passed on by . It is a city on the coast perched on the edge of the precipice of invisibility,the unknown and of extinction…much to the delight of a great portion of the population.All we want is cheap gas,water, electricity ,a few amenities like even roads with no potholes, regular trash pick up ,some good restaurants and schools ,a few decent stores ,available doctors, little crime ,decent jobs, no out of state homeless people and NO Californians. Heaven knows we have our gluttons share of taquerias ,pawnshops,car wash shops and fast food joints…no applicants needed. A Nordstrom, Costco ,IKEA , and a decent Macy’s and for me live theatre and performing arts would be just fine . The saying in that wretched city to the North is…Keep Austin Weird..A like expression here would be ..Keep Corpus Hidden.

Live about 2 hours from Corpus Christi and I really love to go every chance I get! I would love to relocate there someday.. looking for a job opportunity first of course.

I'm am just seeing this today 11/ 4 / 21. That old rounded building on Water street was Tradewinds Ford way back 60's - 70's. The Only Ford dealership in CC at the time. Have You seen it now ?? It is the Nueces Brewery ! They brew the beer back there where mechanics used to work on Your car. The front " showroom " area is the huge Tap Room now.

I’m trying to decide if I want to move back there this summer. Haven’t lived there in over 35 years but it feels like home, love it. Moving expenses are higher than I thought from North of Houston. Enjoyed the Video!

This town fucking blows. I went a number of times in the 00’s. Sure nothings changed. Depressing didn’t even sum it up for me. From a distance I thought oh wow they have a nice skyline, then I realized it was big oil rig skylines, uggh. Y’all can have this town. More power to you.

I’ve lived here for over 40 years been hit by two cars on purpose in the last year and been burglarized once. Without anything being done by the police or district attorney.. not even a report. Abused by the police and local hospital and the VA isn’t helping me with my anxiety or mental health but because I’m stuck here after building a house and the virus.. I’m f’ed I built this town, and used to have connections to the mayor and several high offices. Not anymore, and it doesn’t help my severe anxiety at 63 knowing that I have no one to help me with crime health care or a district attorney who gives a damm. Thanks for your service.. my butt I was a volunteer in the Vietnam era.. a Corpsmen and worked all my life in Corpus, but have never been made to feel so alone as I am in serious trouble with absolutely nobody to help. I shouldn’t be treated like this, but I’m sure you’re busy with the virus.. I’m just hoping to get it, and soon because I don’t want to go on living knowing that there’s literally no one I can call for help, or even protect me from the anxiety it’s causing knowing that I don’t even matter. The first person I met in corpus had gold paint on his face because huffing gold was a better high on the T head to get away from Corpus he said. So at sixteen I told him that I had lifelong vacations in Florida and Corpus was paradise in comparison. So after walking to the L head I saw the ambulance loading this kid my same age up after returning to the dock to huff falling in to drown and literally throwing his life away. I was down here because of the passing of my dad in Chicago, and my brother was the manager of the coliseum. But most of all because I believed that I had my whole life ahead of me.. I now wish I could have joined my new friend, because he was right.. Corpus Christi is a great place as long as you are connected, or rich? Other than that.. you’re better off jumping into the bay!

Not true they had Hurricane 5 years ago scale 2. . I have friends there . They told me when comes you have time to evacuate, sometimes 2 or 3 days. But they do come every 3 to 5 years. Is not a big deal

i just discover this town, reason why it never got develop is because no one ever talk about it at all, I found the weather and the palm tree pretty much like souther cali, minus the 3 million dollar price tag for a beach home. I would have move the call center here instead. I think they should do a better job of promoting it. It's a great city.

Does corpus Christi get the same kind of rain like Florida? Been to Florida several times and it usually rains everyday for a duration of an hour give or take. I was wondering I corpus Christi was a little bit drier than Florida even though both have a sub tropical climate. . I want to move somewhere down in south Texas eventually. Not sure which city yet.
