I work in the Customer Care Center, talking to all our wonderful customers for sales and customer service.The thing I'd like to add to this thread is the fact that, not only does Gardener's Supply give back to the community, but the company is also one of the very best places to work.The way this company treats it's employees is almost unheard of in today's world. There is an almost constant supply of positive reinforcement, incentives, special programs and employee functions, all designed to make Gardener's Supply a very positive and enjoyable place to work.I just thought everyone should know this facet of Gardener's Supply.
I had worked in call center and customer service for over 20 years. I have not always had that wonderful experience that Garden’s Supply shows their employees. Sounds like a wonderful place to work. Thanks for letting everyone know.
I've ordered from their catalog now and then, but after seeing this I think of Gardener's Supply in a new way. Thanks for highlighting their mission and facilities. And what a great idea to organize trees and shrubs by mature size in the garden center. Seems like one of those obviously smart ideas that should be the norm.
The Intervale location of Gardeners Supply is SUPER beautiful. You have to see this place in real life. The video does nothing for how beautiful it really is. BURLINGTON is beautiful to begin with.
Vermont has the best stone structures. One of the Vermont designated "State Treasures" is a man named Stony Mason who built many of the stone walls around my friend's place in Lincoln. He's getting on in years but he still sits out on a chair by the highway in his town and people stop all the time to chat with him.
energymaven that is so cool to hear. I love how they value people who work with their hands, whose skills, sweat and hard work built this country. My grandfather was one of them, a well known New York City ironworker who built some of the bridges and skyscrapers in Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx.
It's vital to support American made and staffed business! Politics aside that's what strengthens our local economies. And I'm a total lefty- but I was taught to by American everything I could. So happy GS has such a great mission- and their community gardens are a wonderful thing!!

In reference to your "younger generation" comment, I wanted to tell you that your channel is making a huge difference! I was not interested in gardening at all- hated the dirt and bugs and work of it. Your channel has inspired me greatly! I put together a bunch of pots for my front porch and planted three hydrangea bushes two weeks ago! My husband and I are cleaning up our entire landscape. Thank you for inspiring us!

Thank you for the tour of Gardens Supply company facilities, they are employee owned and making a difference in many people's lives,the founders ideas are still working, this would have made a three or four part series with so much to cover. This video is nearly 3 years old, and I'm just NOW seeing it, lol! I LOVE G.S! I have many of their products, and love them all! My extended family comes from Vermont, and I spent many childhood summers, with my cousins, playing in the fields of my grandparent's farm in Norwich, VT. I'm so proud to be able to support this wonderful company! What a great company!

So cool to see a tour of their facilities and hear about all the great work they do in their community! Gardner's Supply has been a staple of my parents and grandparents spring and summer planting planning for years. My dad especially likes their fruit trees and bushes.
I live in Burlington and this is my favorite gardening center! I also get my compost from the Intervale each year, it's just a few minutes from my house! Wish I could have met you when you were here :-)
What a story! Many years ago, I received and ordered some items from the Gardeners Supply catalog that are still used today, like some gloves and the collapsible bin that you use. It must be a wonderful company to work for and I noticed at the beginning of this video that it is employee owned! Vermont must be a beautiful state, and Oregon also. I am so thankful for finding your site and enjoy all your videos. I garden vicariously through you.
I knew they had high end stuff, but I didn't know their commitment to the land and people. Very glad to know this. Thank you. I hope you release a video of your tour with the Will Raap. And I hope you adopt some of their soil enriching sustainable practices. That with your sense of design would take your garden "to the moon" I believe.

How cool is Vermont?!? Gardener's Supply seems a lot like another Vermont landmark company, King Arthur Flour. Both company owned and community focused. I travel to King Arthur Flour several times a year to take baking classes, usually flying into Burlington. Will now have to start stopping at Gardener's Supply on these trips!

I just found this 5 year old video. I love Gardeners Supply. It is my Go-To place for everything gardening. I have been one of their customers for decades. I only discovered Garden Answers and your videos a couple of years ago. After watching this video; I need to plan an trip up there to check out there garden centers. It's about a 6 hour drive from where I live in southern New England.
This company is amazing. I love the green houses. I’m considering ordering one in the near term. The gardens look amazing too. I fell in love while watching Laura give a tour of the place. Nice seeing products in use, like the company garden.

Welcome to Vermont! The Williston store is where I love to go on a cold winter's day to recharge! Sit by the indoor pond and have lunch then houseplant/gift shop - heaven! They also offer wonderful, informative workshops and classes. Thanks for showcasing them!
