I show you how I have my welding rig setup for doing mostly tig work on pipe and job shop work. I am running a Miller PIPE / PRO 400 and a bunch of ‪@AlumareelUSA‬ reels. Im pretty happy withe the setup, I have about 60,000 miles on the 2019 Ford F250 powerstroke.
Also if you get something out of my videos consider kicking in a few bucks at my patreon page www.patreon.com/darlingtonfarm

That's crazy, out in the country here I don't ever worry about stuff. If I have to to go the city I've had people steel stuff off the tailgate while I'm working.

When I started watching your channel you had a red Ford and an SA-200 red face that's how long I've been a follower of you I think I like your new rig better and I have welded with those 302 diesels if you take care of it those Kubota diesel engines are bulletproof

I'm a little surprised I didn't see a couple sumner jack stands in there

I don't throw those in unless I need them. I try to leave a job box at places I work at a lot with that stuff so I don't need to haul them around.

I would love to see your skid bare. I’m about to start my build and it will be very similar to yours. I’m interested in seeing if it’s bolted down or if you’d tied it off, how the bottles are held, how the welder sits in etc…
@DarlingtonFarm

I ran bolts to the 5th wheel hitch through the bed, you can have your welder covered really cheap on your commercial auto insurance if it's bolted to the truck

@@sparksmobilerepair4025 I bet with all the construction going on on the north side of Indy you could clean up fixing equipment. Had a run fixing equipment a few years back but didn't really like constantly being covered in grease

Need some help. Just purchased a 2013 Ford 350 long bed. Loaded my machine on the bed and my brakes started to grind. Does anyone know what is happening?

I got two trailblazers I’m running now . One a 301g and a 325 efi . XL power . How you like the pipe Pro . I like the 325 how quiet she runs . Compared to the 301g . Is a pipe pro quiet running unit compared to the Diesel trailblazer ?
@DarlingtonFarm
@DarlingtonFarm Год назад
The pipe pro is so quiet you forget it's running. If you're 15 -20 foot from the truck you can barely hear it run. Now that trailblazer diesel on the other hand is so loud at high idle it's really unpleasant working off the back of the truck. You can lock it at low idle and weld up to 120 amps or so and it's not as bad but it's still super loud.

I’m looking at a trailblazer 302 diesel with 270 hours. Not sure what to pay. Any guidance? I was looking at a Hobart champion 225 but I like that the trailblazer has AC and I can use it for carbon arc gouging down the line.
@DarlingtonFarm
@DarlingtonFarm Год назад
I just got a 2011 302 diesel with 500 hours for 3k. I had to drop everything and rush there to get it before someone else. I'd definitely go with something like that over a Hobart
@michaelt.9372
@michaelt.9372 Год назад
@@DarlingtonFarm gotcha. That’s a good deal. The guy who’s selling it wants 2x that, which is way on the top end price wise for these machines imo.
@DarlingtonFarm
@DarlingtonFarm Год назад
@@michaelt.9372 I'd see if they'd take less, it's a good machine but I don't think I'd pay 6 for one
@michaelt.9372
@michaelt.9372 Год назад
@@DarlingtonFarm so he wants like 6500. I think I’m going to go with the champion elite 225. I don’t need AC on an engine drive since I have another AC machine. I’d be at like 4200ish round about with the Hobart.
