Tour of No 5 Cemetery in Spanish Town, St Catherine 

Nigel you are doing an awesome job my friend many would not be comfortable doing this but you bring history of many to life.I have an uncle by the name of Joseph Williams but he is buried in the states.Keep up the great work you continue to do.

The state of this cemetery is upsetting. Can imagine your loved ones in a cemetery like this? I know they can’t feel , for obvious reasons but lord, the state is so bad.

My father was buried there in 1993 and there was a headstone. His name was Beresford Anthony Dellion.

The people that is living at Tawea pen train lines ,plus those in front of willington streets,they to be blamed for their NASTY behavior of dumping garbages over there, Government needs to put a stop to it, like Miss baby grange the (member of Paliament for that area, she serves over there n going very often there, it's a dirty dirty deplorable situation that cemetery is in, no saa ,de duppy dem caa stay quiet in dem house because a garbage.dem need Fe do better.

Yes my brother ,welcome to Spanish Town, yes ur on Wellington Street, Soo the Cemetery front view is on the Street,plus it's also at the Corner of Manchester Street and Prince Avenue, most people called it Prince lane, I was living near by, I also usually walk through there night or day, so many graves r there needs to be fixed ,but family's n government ain't helping to clean it up.

My brother was buried there from 1977 Garfield Charles Daley but I don't know where to find him.... Rest well my brother Gary 🙏🏿🙏🏿

Wow! I can't believe that people are so disrespectful of the final resting place of people's loved ones! How can someone just toss garbage over the fence of a cemetery? What about the municipal authorities responsible for its maintenance --- after all, I don't believe it is a private cemetery. And if it is privately owned, then the government should clean it, plant tall edging along the fence, and levy fines on the owners to cover the cost. Sad. 😢😢 Thanks, Jamaican Chapter!

The Cemetery closed in 2018 because there was no more space. In 2021, Telka Holt, commercial services manager of the St Catherine Municipal Corporation, said that plans are in train for the No. 5 Cemetery to be cleaned. Now it's 2024 & it is still not clean.

There are many young men who don't have a job the town council should clean up Spanish town because it's a mess they should give them the job to clean up that cemetery

Remember fowls always will find worm's under the rubbishes to eats, ,, wen I used to walk through that place I was afraid to step in the middle sections of the graves I kno they r old n brittle then Soo easy to fall apart, lots of people usually fall down in them , some skeletons gone to power.

I usually attended ALOT of those funeral sites back in the days over there,, non of those people from governments institutions couldn't get basements Caskets, their boxes was Coffin's Shaped, yes n police n other governments plus parish Councils teams would be present. So u wouldn't find proper graves with blocks n cement n steels ,to build those. U call those graves mold up graves nuff dirt's.😢😊😮

They found lizards, scorpions , worms, and other insects or else they wouldn't be there. I also hear goats bawling in the background.

Yessssssss I pass it all the time but always scared to look over there. It's super messy. There was also another cemetry almost across from it named number 6 but they removed the headstones etc.
