Just started my rabbitry, I have one excellent mom. And one horrible mom. The one in question doesn't pull hair, doesn't feed them and pees and poops on them every day. How many chances should she get before she is dinner? Have you ever encountered this? She was a first time mom and she was born in may 2020. Advice appreciated.
I never give up on the first attempt. But I don’t give unlimited attempts either. I would breed her at the same time you breed your good mom. Sometimes I end up fostering kits from one mother to another. I also check to see if I can alter the environment to better suit a mother and help her become a good mother. I have herd the rule 3 strikes, I tend to give 4 sometimes more if I think there is something I can do to help her.
