Hey great video thanks for sharing code4, sent me over here.. I have the same setup short bed camper on the long bed Truck. In the space I also have 100 gallon fuel tank just so I can make it through California without buying that expensive gas, yes gas V10 Dodge Power.
Thank you for posting! It is great to start with something smaller and move up. We had a pop up first and no bathroom and upgraded to a 25 ft Mallard 8 years later. I love that you have a bathroom in this unit.
Very helpful video. So if I understood correctly, the bathroom shower and toilet is all one single area? We had a 30 foot camper about 15 years ago and enjoyed doing some camping with the kids. However I’ve never been in or been familiar with a truck camper. I am now starting to search for a good used truck camper to travel for work. Thanks again for the video!
Hello! New to your channel and I am trying to choose a truck for a cabover camper that will weigh about 3500 pounds and I want to pull my 21foot fiberglass bass boat as well. I can only guess but the tongue weight for the boat trailer might be about 300 pounds. So, I know I am getting an F350 but the question is dually for single axle? I only resist the dually because when I am not camping I will be driving this truck around town and the dually width is concerning and new to me. From parking to turning radius and how wide it is in the lanes makes me nervous. Not afraid, but just concerned that I wont be able to do anything but drive and concentrate on staying in my lane and wont be able to even briefly look at the scenery as I am driving because of the truck being so big. That is probably just me being ignorant, but I see that you went from single to dually and I need a REAL report from your experience driving the big truck and if you would recommend it and why. I know I am asking a lot, but I need a man to man (and lady) chat about the difference and really kick me in the pants to finally help me make the decision. Thanks. SUBSCRIBED!
I love my dually, and I do daily drive it. It will always be backed into a parking spot and you will get anxiety when you pull out of that spot. As far as driving I still don't like narrow lanes in a construction zone. But you do get used to it. If you're going to drive a long bed truck anyway the dually won't be much worse.
