I just love submarines, but wouldn't have the guts to go inside of one when it goes below the sea. Nice video, like to see how people eat, spend time and stuff like that. Toilet looks pretty cold though, it sure as hell won't boost your morale :)

Not gonna lie. When saw that they had their own soft serve ice cream maker at 1:59 I was like 'maybe this is the life for me. Maybe being on a submarine for months on end unable to leave a small metal tube wouldn't actually be the claustrophobic nightmare that I think it is. Das boot was just being overly dramatic.'

He stated at the beginning of the vid that he was One Of The JO's Aboard Texas, so he may not have been aboard long enough to learn the Boat and then have his Qual Sheets signed of and then go before the Board. Stay SAFE and Healthy. Have ya written and practiced it a minimum of two times; your Severe WX Plan(s)?

Being that the vessel is always under water and made of metal, is it hard to keep the temperature warm inside?

No. Even in the Arctic Ocean with 28-29 degree seawater, we need to use Air Conditioning. Lots of Steam powered equipments not to mention electrical equipments.

Its cool, they make their own air so im pretty sure they can heat and cool it to an adequate temperature.

A nuclear submarine has heating and air conditioning. They can make it whatever temperature they want, but, from what I have heard, keep it about 68F.

This had me all messed up. He said USS Texas and I instantly thought Ohio class boomer. Imagine my surprise when I didn't recognize the layout of the galley and super shocked at 6 man bunks. Then I realized it had to be Virginia class and all was well.
