Ghost Adventures and the others shows like Ghost Hunters & Destination Truth, were/are only worth watching for the interesting places they go to visit. Other than that the shows are just funny.
OMG he had a new show out where he wears a suit, glasses, and looks totally diff. I mean I know he's just a persona but you can't just reinvent yourself and totally look and act diff and expect people to not think you're a total fake ass.
Ghost Adventures, a paranormal investigation team, aires on the Travel Channel on Sat. night. Zak Bagans, lead investigator, has a clown phobia. While investigaring with his team, the large clown sitting in the corner of the office moved its arm and scared the heck out of him. There were not any smaller clowns sitting in its lap at the time. You might be able to find the episode on RU-vid. I can't remember which season it was in. I've watched the show since the very 1st episode. I'm not surprised it has become a popular tourist attraction since they were there. If you are interested in the paranormal or just curious about the show, you might watch an episode or two. It's the best paranormal investigation show on TV. The new season starts on July 16.
i have seen that episode, and ghost adventures also filmed at some weird dome buildings that i think are in arizona, and adam the woo has a video filmed there.
How can the lady who works the front desk at the CLOWN motel not know who there loves CLOWNS? That was one very helpful employee, let me tell ya. Also, can't believe Dan has never heard of Ghost Adventures. The episode they filmed at this place was actually pretty cool.

When I found out that you're in Texas and New Mexico I was really hoping that you'll visit Nevada too. I must admit that I became interested in the city of Tonopah a few months ago and since then this town and its history are my little obssesions. And I gasped really loud when I saw that you were in Tonopah and you made a video from Clown Motel and Tonopah Old Cemetery (which is also my little obssesion, just like cemeteries from all around the world). So, Dan, I was your big fan before this video but now... I just want to thank you for making this video, it may seem stupid but I'm really happy after seeing this. Sorry for my poor English, I'm a fan from Poland. ;)
I don't know if it was mentioned already but I'm thinking of the Judy Collins song "Send in the Clowns". --I love that comment at the beginning: "Run from the clowns". I think clowns are awful.--That clown hanging from the ceiling and with upraised hands for some reason made me think of a line from 'Night of the Living Dead": "They're coming for you, Barbara". Awful clowns but a great video. With or without the motel and cemetery I love that beautiful scenery and sky.
Me: becomes aware of the clown motels existence and immediately goes to RU-vid and types in clown motel dan bell. There’s no one else I’d rather watch talk about this kind of stuff besides you 💗
Kind of a cheap gimmick if you ask me. Yeah the office is a little creepy, but judging by the rooms it appears to be just another cheap drug addict/prostitute infested motel. Good video nonetheless.
I'm sure Pennywise is hiding in one of these rooms. Since you are (were) in Arizona, there's a unique motel in Holbrook named The Wigwam Motel where the rooms are shaped as teepees. A similar motel can be found in Cave City, Kentucky!
I was expecting a lot of the clown figures in the office/gift shop to be from Ron Lee's World of Clowns formerly based in Henderson, NV. My mother collected them briefly when I was a kid and we took a tour of the old factory while on a trip to Vegas in 1998. Ron Lee is still making clown sculptures in Burbank, CA. On closer inspection, though, it appears Ron's work is more high-end than any of the kitsch in that place.
that old cemetary was great. How well have those wooden markers lasted? Except for the hum of traffic and the odd portacabin in the background, you could've been back in 1880
Actuality, the phonetically correct way to pronounce the name of Tonopah is Toe-nah-pa. I live in AZ and we have a Tonopah here too. Great vid as always. Sorry, i started typing my comment before the video was over.
i actually recognized this from ghost adventures! so cool that you filmed this man, i always wondered what the place looked like without the added over dramatic scary effects
Look I'm open to the paranormal but we all know those reality shows are almost always if not always overdramatic for the sake of the show. If something like Ghost Adventures were real, there'd be a lot of boring dead air, and a network wouldn't keep it on even if they get something real one time because the dead air outweighs a real event. So they make things over the top edgy, overdramatic with music and all, fake background noise not just for ambiance like you do but to fool the viewer into a scared state. Fake events as well to make up for the fact that a real event is rare if not unheard of (again, can't have dead air) I can't even bear it as entertainment but I respect people's right to enjoy it. As for the clown motel, I actually love the clown aesthetic. I used to be terrified but now I have a respect for the serious art of clowning and find the aesthetic cute and vintage/classy. That said, idk if it'd pass another dirty room inspection or not. Lol who knows. Interesting place and more interesting that the girl didn't know the past owner?! How confusing and odd but adds an air of mystery. Why don't they inform their employees so their employees can repeat it?
I would totally stay there! That place looked like fun! I am, however, a clown biased. My mom graduated from clown college (yes, really), and she was even in the circus once. She mostly did birthday parties and all, though, and I had my own clown get up, too, because I was the official "keep the kids from jumping on the clown's back" clown bodyguard. Yep! I was a clown goon!
as for the cross at the end in the grave that had the object wedged behind it. i think someone put that there to keep it upright or else it would turn upside down since it has only the bottom nail/screw.
Zac Bagan's from Ghost Adventures went to the Motel , and by god that massive huge Clown in the corner moved it's hand and scared Zac to death. You should watch the episode on youtube, it was pretty awesome
I can't believe you don't know about the Ghost Adventures series on the Travel Channel. I've watched it from the 1st episode. They do paranormal investigations of haunted places. It's been on TV for 18 yrs. If you search for Kent Babcock on YT, he has the whole GA Clown Hotel episode on his channel. Title: Ghost Adventures S11 E10 Clown Motel and Goldfield High School. Ghost Adventures is shown on Fridays from 2pm and the last episode ends at 8pm (CST) and on Saturdays from 4pm and the last episode ends at 11pm (CST). Each episode is usually 1 hr, but some are 2 hrs. They've also had many specials. Watch sometime when you have time. You have great videos that I enjoy very much. Your ADR has videos make me laugh and sometimes very nauseous. I never eat while I watch them.
I'm a local to Nevada and while we do pronounce NevAda and not NeHvAHda, people need to acknowledge it is a Spanish word which is pronounced NEHVAHDA so he's not wrong.
Dan & Will are in T Town checking out the Clown Motel. I stayed there Christmas night 2015. Was disappointed that no ghosts came to visit me. For $40 a night, you could not find a better or cleaner place to stay in or around Tonopah (pronounced "Tone-A-Paw"). What's next, Goldfield for you two? I want to know why you would want to take a road trip to this part of the country in July? It's 105-120+ degrees from June until September. You be safe out there & drink lots of water while you're in my home state of Nevada (pronounced Ne-vad-uh)😆
I've never seen a graveyard that the headstones are made of wood. Is this common in desert areas? Around me, and where I have went on trips, they are all stone. I've never been to a desert cemetery before. Also the reasons for death are very neat, only seen that a few times and not all at the same cemetery.
Love your videos, and ive been a long time subscriber. I live in Las Vegas, but also have a place in Goldfield. I drive through Tonopah to get to the mine I do work at. Im surprised you haven't heard of Ghost Adventures. There the ones who caught the flying brick at the Goldfield Hotel. Take care Christian
So, when the local crematorium is burning rabid weasels and the resulting rain/ash/chemical compound falls on that graveyard, I wonder if the reanimated corpses would be clowns or just ordinary folk?
the owner's changed since and like. They painted the whole thing red with pokla dots, invested in a bunch of clown statues and decoration to really push the gimmick rather than actual care for the place, so... Good stuff
one more thing...I live in SPRINGFIELD ILLINOIS...when I was a child, my grandparents lived in Alton Illinois..(the most haunted town in the U.S??)...it is right on the Mississippi River...there is a cliff drawing called "THE PIASA BIRD"..in Alton.I really do not remember the whole legend but it had to do with keeping this tribe safe or something like that...it would pluck ppl from the river???.....idk?....it has been ages....but, of course, as ppl do...they "restore" things that probably should have been left alone in the first place...I am sure you know what I mean...it takes something away from whatever the thing is to begin with.....anyway, that is there and beneath it is 2 huge caves that you can no longer go into...we could when I was a child but I do not remember a whole lot, but I ended up living there for bout 2yrs and there is SO MUCH TO SEE around that area...if you are interested I will do some digging and send you all of the info about awesome places in that area...let me know..i have tons of spare time...and it will keep me busy instead of thinking about everything else...be safe...
I remember hearing about the Clown motel when I was kid. I didn't think it still existed. But it's nice to know it still does. What an odd place to have clowns in the middle of nowhere. I don't mind clowns but the paintings in the gift shop as well as in the room you filmed were kind of horrifying. But there are people who love clowns. and I say more power to them! Have you seen "Killer clowns from outer space?" Just like the paintings, the movie is horrifyingly bad and weird, too. I love it!
