I bought the exact same toy hauler in April 2018. We must really think alike because I did the same upgrades as you (added shelves in all cabinets, spring door lifts, etc). Also added bed hatch gas springs. I have the same complaint about bathroom fan. Use my generator bay for electrical and sewer accessory storage. It will also hold my 2 Yamaha 2000 watt inverter generators when boondocking. This is the only tag along toy hauler I could find that I could fit all three of my four wheelers in. I also wanted a private bedroom with private bathroom access and a slide out and this model fit the bill. I've really enjoyed it.
I have those same locks and yes they do freeze fairly easy, maybe someone else has chimed in and already gave you a tip on this but here is how I do mine when they freeze rather than destroy a lock and have to replace just keep a propane torch handy and heat the key hole and the left side of the lock where the tumblers are inside the casing, when water starts to run out the weep hole you should be able to unlock (don't use a lighter unless it is one of those torch lighter you'll just aggravate yourself) but generally after about 10 seconds or so it will open. Tip 2 spray a little wd40 in the key hole and around moving parts help these things work smoothly. They are good locks. Thanks for the video as I'm in the market for a toy hauler myself.
Wish we had tried that before we cut it off! 😂 oh well! We now leave the lock off when the camper is parked at the house so that they don’t rust internally. Thanks for watching!
Got same camper and it's great. We bring a golf cart and kids stuff also and it's great opening the back taking stuff out. I would recommend to anyone that has toys and likes outdoor adventures you need a toy hauler for sure. Just camping and loading and unloading stuff is so much easier. And you can take a wind blower and blow all the dirt out the back.
I love your family and the camper! It's very compact and versatile, perfect for camping and getting into those otherwise tight places! The takeaway from all this is that no matter what kind of camper you have, always take your valuables with you because that Masterlock was *not* "cut-proof"; anyone with enough time, determination and the right kind of tools will be able to break that off, therefore allowing them access to everything you own (or brought with you)! Some advice to Masterlock; get Monica and John-Michael to test the products before releasing them world-wide, because you never know, they might just be able to "crack that code/lock", otherwise "unbreakable" may be false advertising. Just something to think about.
We were looking for a toy hauler to keep the 4 wheeler in but ended up deciding that keeping it in storage was the best idea! Love that you guys are able to take your ranger with you!
Well... if you watch some of our other camping videos you will see that we are not going to be taking it on long trips... we have torn up a lot of things inside the camper while hauling, it’s really too tight of a fit..
We just love your baby looking out the door. Wow, that bed was really versatile. Well, not exactly cut proof. You got it! Wow, was that tight.👍❤️Much love, -Donovan & Jodi
Really Nice I love that you can make a patio I have two dogs myself and I feel like they’d be out there all the time and just give the Rig so much more room for us that way! Have you taken your trailer on a lot of dirt roads? Wondering how it handles off road thanks so much for the video
@@TheNeuAdventure We're only part time right now, but we go out every other weekend during the summer, and about one weekend a month during the winter. we hope to go full time in the next 5 years. We want either a class A/super C pulling a jeep, or a 1 ton truck pulling a toy hauler with an UTV and/or golf cart. We are looking at CAN AM Defender (full cab), and Polaris Ranger (full cab). Wife has requirement of AC.
Are you all still happy with this toy hauler? My husband and I are looking for one for camping and four wheeling on the weekends. We love the layout of the 2022 model and also the grand design 28G. Of course the forest river is more budget friendly.
Good question. I would say the grand design quality is probably much better than the forest river. Hauling 4 wheelers would probably be ok with the wolf pack, but anything larger I would say go for the grand design. We are still camping in this rig, but we’ve made a lot of upgrades to make it work for us. Best of luck and happy camping!
Great video 👍I like that Toy Hauler camper very nice layout with tons of extras. We had a 2013 Polaris Ranger 500 Crew aka(The School Bus) and those things can swallow floor space fast. We sold our ranger this year and bought a second tractor. Thanks for sharing.
+Team Stucker thanks so much! The ranger is a tight fit for this camper, after about a year and a half of having it we would not recommend it for such a large UTV... but otherwise it’s a nice camper!
Nice toy hauler. Great review. And yes it looks like a tight fit. But if it work for you, that's all that matters. I love the ramp, deck in the back. I could see that would be great for hanging out in the evenings. Thanks for sharing.
hey saw you guys in the art of rving live. its crazy i had just watched your video when we were looking at toy haulers. whod imagine wed be here subscribing and chatting to you guys cause we really liked what we saw. appreciate you sharing. much love and cant wait to check out more.
I juts bought a toy hauler travel trailer myself. I got a 2020 Cruiser Stryker 3212 to carry my 2015 Oreion Reeper in. 2 questions for you. 1. Do you have to have the trailer hooked to the truck when loading the UTV? Just curious if the weigh of the UTV would cause the front of the trailer to tip up, which brings me to my 2nd questions. When towing with the UTV in the back do you notice any added sway? I would think the UTV in the back would take some of the weight off the tongue which could cause sway.
Our ranger weighs 1600 lbs and I honestly can not tell any difference with loaded vs unloaded the hitch Wright of the camper is around 1100 lbs I have only loaded the camper with it hooked to the truck I imagine you could load/unload with the jacks down in the camper so it wouldn’t tilt but for me it’s an unnecessary risk. Hope that helps
It is supper difficult to find a non 35 foot plus trailer that handles a Polaris ranger. We have a 25 Vengeance. But damn it tight. Safe travels. PS. your not the only ones to have lost keys to the locks. Snow machine trailer. oops. Ours also have the patio deck, dogs love it, would not have one without it.
Hey guys, happy to check your channel. I love this video tour of your trailer... Our next trailer will be a toy hauler, we are hopping to purchase a golf cart eventually. I Just subscribed to your channel and looking forward to watching a few episodes!
I wanted to see you get out of your buggy...Backing in is better..More weight on the axles and you could scoot over to the passenger side to get out.. Happy travels y'all
How did you tie the ranger down to keep it from roll forward or back? I have a new 2023 and it does not have a parking brake. It supposedly done by putting it in park. I don't like it but.... So what did you do?
I enjoy watching your travel videos, i am thinking about getting a toy hauler and wonder how comfortable the bottom bed in the toy hauler section is for your kids? do you guys suggest a mattress topper etc etc.
Our kids use the top bed and we did use a mattress topper, those mattresses are very thin. You could use the bottom bed where the couches fold out, but we never have. I don’t think it would be very comfortable.
Not sure if you said in the video, do you know the overall length and weight of this toy hauler? I have a Honda 700 side-by-side that is 114 inches long 78 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Just trying to find something for that to fit in. This seems to be something that could work. Thanks for the video
Hey Chris, We have a 2006 f250 6.0 power stroke To be honest I wish it was a 7.3! We have upgraded the spring blocks in the rear to a much wider block to eliminate axle wrap. We have upgraded to cross drilled rotors to help with stopping. We have bullet proofed the motor with arp studs, egr delete, bigger mishimoto radiator, changed out the electric fan for a mechanical fan from the 7.3 for better cooling. The upgraded the injectors and the truck has custom tunes written for towing specific to our trailer. We have also had the transmission upgraded and a upgraded torque converter. Currently we have 35’s with a E load rating but plane to change to an F load rating. My favorite upgrade is a 90 gallon in bed fuel cell that I can fill the main tank with a switch in the cab this gives us about 800 miles between fill ups (7mpg when towing) and lastly (I think) we have an edge monitor to see what the engine is doing. Let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for checking our video out!
Did you have a trailer sway when loading the ranger in forward? I keep hearing conflicting advise about where a RZR should be loaded forward or backward
We have had some surprises... that’s for sure!! We still enjoy the camper, but for hauling such a large UTV I would say it’s not ideal. If you watch some of our other camping videos you will see what I mean.... the biggest problem we have had was when the tow rings pulled loose while we were hauling the ranger. The only other negative is the lack of seating in the living area. We do like the kitchen space and the bedroom/bathroom layout. This summer we are planning a huge trip with it, so we shall see how it goes!
We just purchased the same exact toy hauler. Can you tell me what you use for the bedding (mainly the sheeting) for the bunk, I'm looking for sheets and it's such an odd size I'm not having any luck. Thanks in advance!
We bought king sheets, they aren’t perfect, but the will stay on. We also bought a king size mattress topped for that bed, the mattress we had was terrible.
@@TheNeuAdventure Thank you so much! I did end up getting a King Flat sheet thinking it would work, but thought the fitted may not work. The Flat sheet should arrive in the next day or so :) I was also contemplating a mattress topper for it. We ordered a different mattress for the "master bedroom" might have to do the same for the bunk! Thanks again for your help!!
Hi there! We have this same toy hauler! It’s kinda fun to see someone else who has one too! We feel the same way about the table. Love all your upgrades! Question, how wide is your Ranger?
Hi there! The ranger is 66.5 inches wide, which is a very tight fit! If you watch our latest videos you will see we have had some real problems when hauling it. What do you haul in your camper?
It is glued, but ours is starting to do the same thing from the weight of the ranger. You could call the manufacturer and see if they will replace it if it is still under warranty. It should not bubble like that.
Hi, I know this video was done when your first bought your 23PACK15. I also know you've had some issues, thanks for the videos (laughs) and before I take the plunge and buy the same model, I'm wondering if you could give me an honest list of cons... would you do it again? Or I'll drop another 15K and get the Spyder 23fs for my RZR XP 1000. Thank You.
So... that is a hard question to answer.... We feel like we are really pushing the limits of what it can handle with the ranger. The cons would just be the garage space for us, the other things we didn’t like were very minor and we changed or added things to make it work. Like shelving and curtains, things like that. if you have a smaller atv or UTV it would be great. If we had know when we bought the camper what we know now, we probably would have gone a different direction. Good luck to you, I hope this helps!
Bob B I know this is a bit later but we just got back from a 6k mile trip with the camper and I can say that I would not buy this camper again, I feel like the quality just isn’t what I expected. I know all campers have problems and some of it I will own as my fault but for us a better choice to bring the ranger would be a class b RV and a trailer. This is a big camper and we ran into some issues that we were not allowed to stay in campgrounds due to the size of your setup. I am a believer in the perfect camper does not exist you just pick the closest thing that you want and live with it. What did you end up going with?
I think ours is around 80inches now with lift and tires. It just barley fits... look at the fifth wheel toy hauler by wolf pack, it has a larger garage area.
Hi great videos. I'm also looking to get that same exact trailer. I have a 2019 Polaris RZR 1000 2 door all stock. Its 64 in wide. With the slide out closed there should be about 3 in to spare on each side if I did my math right. My question, how wide is your ranger? In one reply you responded 61in and in another you said 66 1/2. Do you know for sure b/c the with of yours is going to tell me if mine with fit based off of watching your video? Thank you for your time. :)
Nick Mraz so we just measured and the ranger is 63 1/2” wide and the camper is 70” wide at the floor. We have run into issues with the body roll of the ranger with the cage hitting the cabinet and busting the doors off twice so be sure to think about things like that also JM
We live in North Carolina... but we are headed west this summer, would love to do a collaboration! If you find us on FB and send a PM I’ll give you the details and maybe we can work something out :)
Was thinking.. price of toys well over 100,000.how can a couple working making 20 bucks each a hour afford this..I have a scary feeling in my gut the have nots are going to rebel in a few years..Sooner than later
What’s a rig? Hmmm let’s see. Something you put on the water. What’s a travel trailer? Something you guys have What’s a fifth wheel? Something you hitch in the back of a pickup bed What’s an rv? Something you drive
