Well, I guess I missed this tour the first time around. I really enjoyed it. It is 2 1/2 years old, I don't know how I missed it. By now you have closed up your store and only sell fabrics on line. I look forward every morning to seeing what you have put on for the day. Matt & Donna, both of you make quilting a joy. Thank you.
I just love all Matt's toys. Anything that makes the work a little easier. Astounding amount of fabric in your different shops. That's why I love quilting... it's a colorful life. I miss Donna's tutorials; I'm always expanding my own "to do list" when she completes one of them. Wish I lived closer to Grants Pass... am a Mass. girl.
Really enjoyed your tour. Didn't realize your establishment was so big. Really enjoy your videos Donna and also Matt's comments. What a wonderful Family business!
I have to thank you, Matt, for your video on making the ironing board. I saw it and told my husband and he made me one....one of the best quilting tools I have!
Thank you so much for sharing your work spaces with us!! It was so interesting to see the shrink-wrap machine and the new "folding" machine. It's good to see the, behind-the-sceans, part of what makes Jordan Fabrics, what it is - a GREAT place for all quilters, whether experienced or a semi-beginner, like myself. Thank you Jordan Fabrics for your constant inspiration!!
All I can add to Shirene N's comment is I hope I can someday visit your shop in person. But your online shop is my go-to for top-quality pre-cuts. So great to see your expansion which I hope equals the success you both richly deserve! ~Diana from Toronto
I would love to visit Jordan Fabrics, now on my bucket list. I love to watch Donna and Matt's videos as well. Donna has given me many tips that help me in my daily quilt challenges and love her method of teaching, always positive, always informative. I have many ideas for quilts from the videos and am planning one for my daughter's wedding. I'm envious of having all those fabrics to feel and cut and enjoyed the preview into your store. Thank you for all that you do to inspire us!
I love your tour and your place is amazing!!! But I just love it. I realize it takes many years to keep adding and tailoring your needs. So wonderful! I love you both Matt & Donna!! I wish I lived closer......you would see me ALL the time!! You guys are my FAVORITE!!
I hadn't realized that your retail space was so large! It's all wonderful and now, it's on my bucket list. Thankyou for sharing your space and knowledge with us.
Donna I just finished watching the video tour of your shop!!!!!!! THANK GOODNESS I don't live close enough to visit. The whole layout is amazing, beautiful, inspiring, and over whelming. I'm so trying not to order more fabric and use what I have in my stash but it's hard. Thank you for ALL your inspiring videos and helps. I've learned a lot from you. Matt your cutting is phenomenal. I've gotten several of your kits and each and EVERY piece of fabric is the correct size. I thank you for making me look like a great quilter. Aloha and best wishes from the Big Island of Hawaii.
I can attest that their kits are the best because of the precise cutting and NO pinked edges! I just cant stand pinked edges! Anyway, I got a log cabin kit and it really was so easy to use and it was a treat to go straight to the sewing machine! I live in Vegas but someday I have to see your store!
WOW....my idea of heaven. Matt's hand cut kits are the BEST! Donna freely sharing her expert skills and love of quilting/sewing is much appreciated. Every order I have received shows the love and attention to detail everyone takes in their product. Also they have great customer service. Jordan Fabrics is amazing!
Donna and Matt Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing the inner sanctum of Jordan fabrics!! I get so much enjoyment from your videos/tutorials. Thank you for sharing your quilting tips. From cutting lengthwise to ironing and finger pressing. You have definitely increased the pleasure I get from quilting!! Have a glorious day and wonderful weekend!!
I love the folding machine. I could watch that for hours. The shrink wrapped kits are my favorite. They stay clean, dust free until it’s time to sew them
I enjoyed seeing Matt again. Hi, Matt! I like his enthusiasm for the machinery and I'm sure I would be the same way. "Let's fold more fabric, then shrink wrap these beautiful stacks!" I know his eye for appealing packaging is a big part of your store's success. Thanks to your whole family for these fun and interesting videos!
I enjoyed this latest tour, as well as your first one some time ago. Donna, I have learned so much while watching your tutorials the past few years and wish I had found your website when I first started making quilts. My fav tip is using a hand weight at the far end of my ruler when cutting fabrics as it has vastly improved my cutting accuracy! I also absolutely love Matt’s handout fabrics because of the accuracy and NO pinked edges! Over the years I have been so frustrated by the inaccurate precuts from major brands that I gave up on buying them, until I gave Matt’s precuts a chance! Now they are my go to place to get them! I would love to know more detail of your amazing sewing table as I plan on getting a Juki in the next few months.
Thanks Matt and Donna for giving us tour in your beautiful store. I think so far, this is the biggest quilt fabric that I've seen!! I love Matt's handout fabric. It so neat and accurate, no lint or any picked edges. I always had a hard time with that picked edges. Thank you Matt for this wonderful idea of yours. Keep up the good work and more success!! I will definitely follow you everyday especially if Donna has new tutorial video. It makes it easy to follow. Thank you for the good work!!!
Thank you 🙏🏽 Donna and Matt. Visiting your shop is definitely a bucket list item. I purchased a kit from you and was curious as to how you shrink wrapped them so THANK YOU for the demonstration Matt. OH NO 🤦♀️ you’re giving away my favorite quilt.
Hi Donna & Matt, I feel as if you both are such great friends, there is not a day that goes by that I don't watch or re-watch at least one of your videos. I have learned so much from you. I received an email from you letting me know my fabric has been delivered & I can't wait to go to the mailbox later today to pick it up. We live very far from you but I am going to put a visit to your shop on my bucket list, my mouth was watering watching all the beautiful fabric in your shop. Much continued luck & happiness to you both. Mary
Thank you for showing us around. You work so hard, and I love your videos. I promise I will never, ever correct your grammar or spelling. You should be treated better than that.
On Donna, Matt and James... THANK YOU for sharing that tour. I truly appreciate all the hard work you put into every video. What a beautiful company. It must be awe inspiring to be surrounded by so many gorgeous fabrics. I paused the video to say to my husband, "it's a good thing we don't live closer or else I'd be there every day spending my (our) life's savings!"
It is a fabulous new area for your business. With the new equipment and rooms to house your products, you must feel very pleased to "grow" and be able to offer so much more for your customers, staff (and yourselves!). Congratulations and thank you for all your great videos and lovely work.
Your tips are a lifesaver. I wish I had had them when I started, it would have saved so much frustration. I refer your site to everyone who expresses interest in quilting. Thanks so much.
Thank you for the tour. I was wondering .... when you show us how to make a quilt and you put it on the long arm can you let the machine run longer to show us more of the quilting, like the full pattern in a 8x8 or 12x12 area. You end the video only a few seconds into the long arm starting.... just let it run so we see more of how the pattern becomes an amazing quilt! Its mesmerizing!! And Matt how many cutter blades do you go thru in a day? Love your videos! Hugs from Indiana.
@@jackiesullinger8471 she does have one, you just have to find it in their videos, but I agree, I'd like to see a longer video of the quilting being done by the machine too
Yes, more time to see the "invisible quilter" in action, please! It's quilted row by row and I'd like to see how it's moved forward when row 1 is ended to start row 2.
OH MY GOD!!!!! You just shown me what it like in heaven... girl.. that is now my top bucket list.. is to go to your store... I love love how you have it so organized.. I felt at peace while you're giving us a tour of your shop... Thank you for this video...
Thank you for sharing with us the place where you spend many hours for your customers and for your videos. I love watching videos. Donna knows how to make the instructions so clear. I look at them all without exception.
I really enjoyed touring your establishment. Love the fabrics and the way you have everything set up. You can tell that there was a lot of time put in to get this all done, trials and errors to get things perfect. Looks like you can sit back and enjoy now. I enjoy your show very much and have learned a lot of sewing tricks. Thank you for your videos.
Doesn't look like they do any "sitting back" though! I wonder if they live at the store...except I have seen videos where she starts at her lovely home.
Oh Donna, this video is amazing. The fabric selection alone is staggering. Matt’s right about looking like a work of art. It takes true creative spirit and incredible hard work to achieve all this beauty. Thank you for a tour of what grit and inspiration can build.
This was so fun to see your shop in all the beautiful fabric, precuts. I also really likes seeing the different places in the shops. Donna’s “studio”, the long arm, the new overflow room a f the break room. I also love it when Matt pops in to show us his work space, office. The fabric folder, shrink wrap machine and looking at all the stacks of fabric cut ready to be wrapped. OMG 😮 so so cool to see. I have been so hoping for this video and I was so excited Whalen it popped up in my RU-vid feed yesterday at work. I check my mail everyday to see what is going on a Jorden Fabrics. I have really been excited when you post sales. I feel like a kid in a candy store. I live in Indiana. I hope to one day make a road trip to see your beautiful state and see your amazing shop. I want to close by saying that you have been my inspiration in starting a new hobby at 58. I an s staff floor nurse and I work a lot. I love crafts. It helps me to handle/deal with all the tragedies I see everyday. I have been a been a Scrapbooker for years both traditional and digital and a cross stitcher too but now I can say I am a quilter, because of all of your detailed instructional Videos here on RU-vid. have ordered several kits from your store and the kit is always beautiful in its presentation and I can tell the fabric has been cut well and steamed. Thank You Matt and Donna for all you do for me and the quilting community,. Your professional in all you do from you videos, precuts and your constant pursuit of excellence!! Your a blessing in my life!!!!
Whenever I need a bit of lift after a guelling day, Jordan Fabrics youtube videos is my go-to place to get myself back into my happy place! I can't wait to visit the shop and meet Matt and Donna when I fly 5,166 miles from London :-) Yes, coming to Oregon for one reason - Jordan Fabrics! See you in May, 20-23rd, happy days!
Love the new gadgets! Funnily enough, yesterday I was watching your video of the workplace tour a couple of years back - it's improved so much. You have a beautiful store. Many moons ago in a quilt shop in Florida and was so surprised that I exclaimed out loud - oooh shopping trolleys! They laughed because of my excitement and that I called it a trolley! So I was excited to see your shopping . . . carts! So thank you for the tour, wish you would come to England! Kindest regards,
I've been watching the shop videos in reverse I think.. It's funny to see this one and then when it was only drywalled and then the one where they are tearing out the walls in preparation for building. Quite the journey! (BTW, I am from the US and now live in the UK, so I get laughed at when I call them "carts" ;-)
Matt you are brilliant in choosing Fabrics that go together. You both are very special people hard-working thank you so much for sharing and giving me confidence. God bless you and your family.
Aww. You guys are such a sweet couple! So glad you are a team. I really enjoy all of your videos. To be quite honest, I take a break sometimes to watch one and it's my therapy LOL. There's just something about hearing a rotary cutter. Thank you guys for all that you do to help us improve our quilting. Happy quilting as you say!
Donna and Matt, you are both an inspiration for so many of us. What I love is the care and consistency that you both use doing your work. We can be sure that your kits are cut with accuracy and precision. Your quilting videos are the best I have seen.. Love that you each have mastered your own aspect of the business. Thanks for all you do for quilting. Sue McMullen in Colorado Springs CO.
WOW!!! A Disneyland for quilters !!! I'm in Southern CA and planning to make a trip to ORegon next spring/summer. Can't wait to see your stores and meet you in person. THanks for sharing with us!! And love your tutorials 👍🏻
Thank you so much for the tour of your company! Jordan’s Fabrics is on my list for places to visit before I kick the bucket! Matt’s handouts are my favorite of all the precuts. His straight lines make sewing a pleasure. And Donna is my favorite for making quilting tutorials. She makes me feel like I can be a successful quilt maker. I love her explanations, demonstrations and her original patterns. Thanks for making Jordans Fabrics a quilters’ paradise.
Donna and Matt people like you deserve every success because you work so hard. Then there's the added bonus of you giving employment in your area. I wish you continued success and good health for the future. Thank you for showing us the place where you run your business. What I wouldn't give to go to America and more especially your shop. Donna do you have a sale section in your shop? BTW, cannot understand the disagrees, jealousy I guess. Thanks for this video.
I ordered 2 log cabin packages are they are just great! All the pieces were exactly cut and pressed and in order for sewing just awesome. My only negative is that I live in Canada and wish I could visit your retail store!! It came fine in the mail but with exchange rates I had to pay more...which I knew I would. I love your videos your company is wonderful and so nice it is run by both of you and done so well!! Keep up the good work😍
Frances Graves I’m I’m in Canada too, and having to pay so much more has prevented me from hitting the “send” button on my orders. One day I hope to visit and then... 😆
Oh how I wish I lived in Oregon. Your shop looks wonderful! I’m in Michigan, so a visit is out of the question so I will rely on your web page. Thank you for sharing this tour.
Big fan here. I watch all of your videos and am always scoping out the background to see all of the fabrics and precut bundles. I am in awe of the organization and neatness .....and the VOLUME of fabric in your store. Visiting the store (and meeting both of you) is a bucket list item! In the meantime, I'll just drool over what I can see in videos. As much as I want to visit the store, I'm also afraid that if I went there, I'd be so overwhelmed I wouldn't know where to begin, or how to narrow down my choice of what to buy; it's all so beautiful!
I definitely have to head over the border to Oregon with empty suitcases and lots of American money and spend a couple days in your store! Thanks for showing us the updates.
I could move to Oregon and live in a house nearby, just to be able to go to your shop whenever I like. Unfortunately I live in Holland.... Great video (like always) and keep up the good work
Yes, me too. I would be over every other day - but since I'm not rich, it's good I have to stay home (Germany). But nevertheless, your videos are just great. I really enjoy them. Thanks again.
Thanks for the tour. A question for you after Matt showing us your folding machine. Have you begun designing fabric too? Exclusive Jordan Fabrics fabric?
I can spend my whole day in your store... looks like a fabric kingdom for me.. since when you and your family run this wonderful business? I am so jealous 😍😍
I honestly had no idea how much room you had and your store is much larger than I had imagined. The FABRIC!! ;-) You are so blessed. Look forward to all your videos and excellent instructions. God Bless you
My sister lives in Medford, OR and for the past ten years whenever I visit her from Yuma, AZ Jordan Fabrics is one of our “musts”. I love this video! It’s been great watching you grow over the years. You guys are fantastic. I’ve made several quilts inspired by watching your videos, Donna, you are a great teacher. The ladies in your store are very helpful and knowledgeable. Jordan Fabrics is a fabulous experience all around. Now, I have a Lone Star kit I need to get working on! Thanks again.
I love watching your videos. It "seams" like I learn something new every time!! I wish I lived closer and could visit your store. For now I will just visit virtually!!
I ADORE your videos and look forward to viewing them every week! I am also so happy I dont live in your state because I would spend every dollar at your store! You and Matt are ADORABLE! I read your story on your web site and I have just fallen in love with you both and your store! If I am ever in your area I will be on one of the tour busses to Jordan Fabrics for an official hug and spending of money in the jelly roll isles. Thank you for making the world a better quilting place Donna and Matt!!
Thank you for sharing, love seeing your shop and all that you do. It is wonderful to be able to do somwthing that you love for a living, you can always see that in the videos you do and both of you are an inspiration to all of us.
Donna, I love your videos. Enjoyed the tour of your company. Good for you and your family. I wish I lived on the West coast. Your instructions and videos are wonderful. You don't waste time showing the sewing of EACH piece. Just wonderful. I want to make tons of quilts after watching your videos. Thank you so much for it all. I enjoyed seeing your retail store. OMG!!!! Loved the tour. Enjoyed seeing Matt show what he does and the folding machine was really something. I don't know how you manage to be so calm with all that fabric. Love it. Stay well and I'll keep watching.
What a beautiful place you have!..a dream place. So many beautiful fabrics you can touch and use :)..any time!..I love watching your videos, you are so inspirational and passionate about the work you do. Thank you.
My husband and I were there last week on our way home from Washington. My husband was very impressed with the shipping. I was impressed with everything, overwhelmed actually. Thank you for sharing.
Loved the tour! I’ve been to your store but it is a lot fuller since I got to stop a year or so ago. I just wanted to step inside your video. Loved how your husband is so happy doing his work. He sure makes precision cuts and packages.
Thank you so much for the tour. I love fabric and you are so fortunate to be surrounded by it and working with it every day. A special thank you to Matt for showing how he packages the beautiful kits. He seems to enjoy it very much. I envy the fall weather you have in Oregon.
Thank you for the tour of your shop and workspace. Since I live halfway across the country I do all of my shopping online. Someday, I am going to take a road trip to your shop. You have everything I love for quilting since I love, love, love precuts and batiks. Thank you, Donna, for your great tutorials. They are the best. Every new or experienced quilter will find them so easy to follow. You provide every detail for success. Thanks again!
Thank you so much for the tour. What a beautiful shop you have. All of the fabric, how it's displayed, Matt's work area, the shrink wrap machine, folding machine, mailing, Donna's videos, just everything is very impressive. My first thought was I wished I lived near you, but no my second thought, it's a good thing I don't live close. OK, finally, I want to live next door. I can see you put a lot of work and love in your business and it shows. Thank you again, looking forward to your next video.
I really enjoyed watching this video. Thanks for showing the shrink wrap process and how fabrics are put into bolts. I could easily spend hours walking around in the store. Didn’t realize you had so much space. Very nice.
Donna and Matt, thank you so very much for showing us your studio and work shop, very interesting, love ,love, LOVE the retail store! I would spend my entire paychecks there. I don't know if I could work with my husband all day, but you both seem to Enjoy what you do and each other. Thank you for sharing ❤️
