My friend lives in New Jersey, and owns a little house in the Catskills. I love visiting there, just 45-minutes away. But here are two of the harsh realities of owning anything in the Catskills. First, THE HUGE TAXES. Remember, you're still in New York, so the taxes are continually going up, and they're so tough for a lot of senior citizens to pay, that after 20-years of finally paying off their "retirement dream homes," now they now are forced to sell them. Dear Old Uncle Sam... always trying to break your back. So today nearly EVERYTHING is for sale in the Catskills, but no where as cheap as it was "back in the day." Second, the weather. You're in the mountains, so in the winters up here get COLD. I mean, bone-chilling cold. And the snow sticks around for many months. So be ready for it. If you can afford to live in Jersey or NYC and still afford a second home in the Catskills, it's a beautiful place to live, but my friend has just told me that he's finally selling his Catskills house and moving down south to North Carolina where it's much cheaper and more livable, year-round. For the same price he's getting twice the house, the taxes are HALF, and it's four season lifestyle. When you're younger, handling the cold is easier, but when you get older, it's hard. Just my personal take on the Catskills. Pretty, but in the end, prohibitively expensive.

None of the three Woodstock Festivals were actually ANYWHERE CLOSE to the ACTUAL TOWN of Woodstock! (The first site was in my wife’s Hometown of Bethel, which is about 70 miles away)

Would stay in winter if there was a wood stove and close to trails and skiing. Fall, yes I would, not for 200 per night. Hunting Zone 15 min away.

Hey there, I need some tips from you. Im traveling to Mexico City in sept. What are the tips for getting a cab from the airport benito juarez to the city? i heard theres a lot of scammers at the airport where they can charge you up to $500 pesos. Is it easy to get an uber or shuttle? let me know. I was checking your Mexico City videos, but i didnt find any inf. Greetings

over $600.00 not worth it. Nice but you can get same size, on or near Delaware River in Sullivan County, closer to Bethel, NY same distance from rotten apple, for LESS ,directly from owner, find it by driving around and asking. Might be worth 6 if it was on water. Just a little north in East Durham area can also find cheaper, in the Irish Cats .On a creek.
