We explore the Beta Complex's two buildings, Beta North and Beta South, in the Akrotiri archaeological site on this in depth tour. There are a number of rooms in the two buildings and three famous frescoes in the Beta South building, the boxing boys, antelopes, and blue monkeys. With the Eastern and Southern parts of the building were heavily damaged by the torrent of water that flowed through the ancient city of Akrotiri.

The boxers are practically identical to the frescoe of boxers that I think is at Knossos. I wonder if there was also an ancient story behind the image that was lost. Very nice video. What year was the flood?

Why do they insist on calling them "boxing boys"? The only other frescoes with people wearing gold hoop earrings are girls and women. I believe they are boxing girls. I also think the blue caps over part of the hair are just that - caps. The hair was pulled through holes in some places. By doing that it kept the hair out of their eyes. It seems obvious to me. When fishing and diving they wore them too, for the same reasons.

It's probably merely cooincidence, but, at 8:42 there's what appears to be a support column very similar to the T columns found at Gobekli Tepe. Thousands of years and miles of distance separate the sites, so, any similarity between a support column that just happens to shaped a bit like a T is highest probability just coincidence. Don't tell the alien nutters though. Lawd. :D
