First class in depth video. You are one of a very few that goes into detail. Very impressed with parlour and the simplicity of it. Our Delaval parlour we put in a few years ago is a nightmare. Cow flow is a disaster. Costs a fortune to maintain and when you go to milk in the morning and there’s a fault at the computer, you are standing helpless and can’t milk till the computer is rectified. Keep the videos coming.
Richard. We had a chat this morning at milking and the Boys said from what they saw at the wedding few weeks ago please can they see a bit more with Emma in your video. . We are impressed. Well done 🎉
That's a great parlor you can move some cows through it how often do you milk do you just milk on the organic dariy and how big is the parlor on the other farm nice looking herd of cows and do you ever milk on the other farm
Good Video Rich,Nice set up and low cost to run and maintain.I’ve never seen the idea of putting washing up liquid in the volume washer tank ,is it just for the flies or does it help keep the parlour clean.Nice looking cows as well 👍
Great video and great set up rich , your set up and your cow type is unusual for the uk it’s more like a New Zealand or Irish system , I am curious as to how or why you are on that system , have you ever heard of a New Zealand guy called Aundre van Barnaveld ?
The system was already in place when I took over the farm 5 years ago. Simple and always made good money so I thought we would keep it. Just tweet it a little.
Hope the wagon man going to clean the trough out 3 times aweek or stale food left new on top will heat up Feed trough out side be a nightmare... Stick to self feed. Anyway you will find out. Need to be empty every day. I bet that will not happen Good luck
Not too sure about going too much towards an Irish Friesian. Can’t beat the efficiency of a jersey cross converting feed to kg/ms. Your Arla contract very solid based. You may get a better cull cow value with the black and white, but you’ve got to pay to keep her everyday she’s on the farm.
