Join me on a tour of this 2009 Sanlorenzo SD 122 superyacht. Fun fact, this is the yacht that was formerly captained by Tristan Mortlock from the ‪@SuperYachtCaptain‬ RU-vid channel for many years! It sleeps up to 12 guests and houses up to 8 crew. The latest refit was in 2023 and it's also been meticulously maintained throughout her life!

Good old AWOL! Hasn't changed much, still very orange :) The price seems gone up though. If memory serves right, the asking price is now 2 mil higher vs. last time. Thanks for the tour

@alisavas9526 You are right, I noticed that too. Asking price was 8 million at the time, probably sold for a bit less. Had a refit, was transported to the US, so not a lot of profit by the current owners. Wondering why they want to sell, AWOL is still a great yacht.

As soon as I read the title of this video I knew it was AWOL, I've lost track the number of time I've seen this yacht but hey it's a Sanlorenzo what's not to like she's a fine yacht,but saying that she is not my favourite Sanlorenzo, I forget the model but she's bigger than AWOL and has folding sides around the aft end sides and back making a fantastic beach club once the toys are lunched but hey ho I'd be happy with any Sanlorenzo to be fair. Anyway Tony a great find all the same and thanks for another tour all the best from Cornwall 🤗👌🖖

You may be referring to the SX line from Sanlorenzo. I have a tour of the SX112 and 76 if you haven't seen them. They feature the folding side decks and huge beach club areas!

@@YachtAddiction I will definitely take a look at those just incase I've not seen them but the one I was talking about is the Sanlorenzo SL120A but thanks all the same. Tony still curious to know if you are a boater and do you have one,what sort and what do you do with it???? My family growing up had a 15ft wooden boat with an outboard,never got to use it much sadly but hey maybe one day again. All the best Tony cheers 🥃

Interesting that she's for sale, it's not been that long ago she was sold and brought to America. Used to like Tristan's videos on this boat. Interesting, to me anyway, tidbit, Tristan was not using the captain's cabin. He shared a crew cabin with his now wife, it had more room for 2. The first officer got the captain cabin.

I'm not too fond of the TVs in the main salon and Skylounge sitting on the floor. I am surprised that wasn't fixed in the refit.

From what I've seen on YT and read, they say expect to pay 10% of the cost of the boat. Of course, depending on how it's used. On these big yachts with the cost of crew, probably more.

@@markshutt1476 On how it's used exactly... Full crew and maintenance, About 10% of cost of ship. But that's taking into account you're jetting around to the islands and such. Their are websites that have cost estimators that let you adjust all the details and it will give you the Cost. For Me being in Japan and cruising to Australia and back around, isn't very much at all. If you're sitting at a dock, shut off the engines, connect to the docks electric and chill for days, weeks, months... and you'll still have internet also.

Love your channel Tony. I love yachts in this size range. Im just not a fan of Sanlorenzo yachts. Their layouts and designs fall short for me.

Sanlorenzo: 'WE love owmers and guests...ehhhh crew...mmmm not so much' i had friends that worked on Sanlorenzo yachts and it was either because they were getting extra money, or the contracts suited them, or couldn't get work where they wanted to be. I never was on one as crew. Came close. They aren't the worse, but for long term, dual season..no way.

Tony, nice presentation but you ran through it too fast again. And you did not mention anything that was done in the refit.

This used to be _AWOL_ and now it's _AWAY_ ? 😆 This tour seemed rushed and a lot of the scenes (day heads and bathrooms, galley) you're filming down instead of ahead (I can understand when the crew member was eating, but the others not so much). Seems more cramped than I remember. I definitely don't like the black in the interior, nor the sloped bridge windows (hopefully one day soon, they'll stop doing that, aside from 'speed yachts'). I laughed when I saw the TV on the floor. It's weird how some boats can have an owner for nearly a decade and then others (or once that boat is sold) go through owners every other year. Oh well. Looking forward to your next video.
