For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Brian Pirrip and I’m an entrepreneur, world traveller, adrenaline junkie, musician, and collector.
I have many interests, and collecting has played a serious role. While it’s been a life long passion of mine, it’s also been a solitary one. Sharing and going through my collection with others always felt too personal. It was a hobby that I did when I was a kid and it didn’t feel grown up to me.
However, over the last 3 years, my perspective has shifted. I’ve become deeply involved with the Hobby and the collectors within it. Additionally, I’ve founded M1NT, my company all around creating beautiful and protective displays to elevate one’s collection, and to give our cards the dignity they deserve. It’s been an extremely rewarding and exciting chapter of my life.
To sum it all up, collecting has always been a source of happiness for me and I plan to share much more with everyone. To me, cards are pieces of fine art and history, and they deserved to be showcased.
I hope you enjoy going through my collection with me! What do you like to collect?

Nice to see collectors who are more focused on nostalgia than value

Wow, I thought I was the only one that saw cards this way. But now I see you like the same sets that I do. I started collecting in 1986 and I loved the trailblazers too. When i was a kid my mom bought me a 1984 Topps Don Mattingly that was autographed. I still love that card to this day because I wasn't expecting to get it. My best friend loved Jose Canseco. I always wanted the 86 Donruss rookie. I might buy it for memories someday. Anyways great collection. I wouldn't mind buying a box of 1988 Topps just to open packs.

loved your comment!.. yeah, pick up a box of 88 Topps for like 20 bucks, and that'll be some of the best money spent. Pure Nostalgic Euphoria. Go Blazers.

Nicely presented collection. I got started in 87 with the woodgrain border cards and the 86 Topps black border which were the more expensive year. I think thats why Bo Jackson was always one of my favorite players even as a Yankees fan.

Fantastic, there is a real beauty in the simplicity (and in no way mean that as a bad thing). Never thought of doing the one page per year, but it is a fantastic way to get both through the history of baseball, and the history of your journey. When I got back in, it was the nostalgia cards for me (90 Frank Leaf also meant a lot to me which I loved that you have a story for that card as well), but I was also grippin and rippin like most of us impulse types. Now for me, outside of the nostalgia cards, it is Mariners and HOF autos. This definitely gives me some great ideas of honing in my collection. Great video.

Amazing collection! One of my favorite collections. I really like the stories/moments behind the cards. I’m the same way with my collection: initially had them in storage boxes but moved them all into binders. Much more enjoyable to look through them/drip down memory lane.

I started a "Topps" album recently because of you. Mine starts in 1972 ..I have a few cards from earlier years....but not enough to add them to the Topps binder yet. It's been fun trying to find 9 cards from each year.

Please use D ring binders. The pages will lay flat. With O-rings there is a curve associated with the pages as the notebook get filled as yours are.

Many parallels in your collecting and mine.. many things very well said from the place holders.. to being a lil shy about it.. about the failed rookie and prospects that you just gotta have cuz they were the chase..I went n got a 22 series 1 wander /2022 gold.. it REALLY lost some value but I figured that was printed so much if I bought a hobby box and pulled it I would be super happy so for the price of a hobby box I got the card...I broke it outta a psa 8 case.. cuz I will do that a lot to fill my favorite binders.. because I just love the way a binder displays the collection.. not sure who you even are seems like u might b sorta a big deal in some realm ..piano? Whateves.. God bless ya

what a great video. totally felt the same way about mark grace. sad you didnt have any wally joyner or kevin mitchell in your 86 or 87 sets. $35 for 87 fleer will clarks was alot of money for a kid. matt williams > chris sabo lol no thome or pudge in 91 topps? rated rookie logo is the best logo in all of sports cards. 88 score traded such an underrated set. i want that 1990 leaf griffey preview card! we used to rub the top of 91 leaf packs looking for the gold cards of rookies, nolan, and ricky because they were somewhat embossed. love the bo jackson auburn classic fb/bb card. bravo

Started to collect baseball around 84' till the early 90s as a kid in Toledo. Which made my a Tigers fan and a huge Kirk Gibson fan then and still as a 46 year old. So when I see the Gibson rc along with the rest of the era I collected in it's just good memories. It makes me sad that the industry is more like bit coin, (volatile) rather than just a sports fan. The industry continues to control the market since the Upper Deck Griffy scam. Seen the market bust then and it will pop again. Scamming people with mystery boxes. The industry will win again and the collectors will be left holding on to the bag. Bag of cardboard. I hope kids are having fun and creating memories like I did. ⚾️

I have all of these complete sets in boxes. However, my collection is geared towards more of 90's basketball badass early foil insert cards from metal universe and upperdeck and a bunch of graded 50 bowman and early 1900 baseball randomly graded cards. I also.enjoy the late 60 early 70's tallboy basketball and the disco basketball sets

Your collection is almost the same as I collect except for your 60's baseball cards. I have very few of them. I have a question, are you afraid as I am to send your cards away to get graded? Thanks for the show, See you again on Facebook, I love what you do passing cards out and keeping the hobby going. Thanks again,

Tremendous cards but why keep cracking the cases. I mean if u pay $2000 for PSA rookie Ryan once u crack it isn’t it worth less than what the PSA would fetch .

because I'm never going to sell them so I don't care about the financial value. :)
