The Kindle Scribe allows PDF documents to be uploaded and marked up as if they were notebooks. So... I decided to make a digital agenda, which includes: hyperlink navigation, habit, exercise and sleep trackers, as well as full-page weekday planners + half-page weekend planners. I hope you like it.

I've been using Canva to make my own Templates for my Scribe!!! -- Agendas, Planners, Calendar, Lesson Planner, etc.! -- Honestly, since I started designing my own templates with Canva, and only including exactly everything I wanted/needed, I haven't set my scribe down.

@@JakeReevesVideo I'm a teacher who just ordered the scribe partly bc of its writing ability! The basics would be sections for the date, class period, lesson topic, lesson outline [writing out what i will do in the lesson], resources, and post-lesson notes. It would be super helpful to break up the planner by each marking period (new mp every 8 weeks) or by Classroom unit rather than month to month.

I love this the only thing that i wish was that there was more space for the hour by hour daily calendar. I see it only spreads from 7am to 6pm, but i would prefer an eralier starting time and later ending time for the day since my days are so packed. And if you think about it most people work a full time job so half of that hourly section is taken up by an 8 hour job. If you were to update the pdf to account for this i would be more than happy to purchase this. I may even end up purchasing it anyways since i can i hope delete the moon and sun icons to add more hours.

Love this design, but wish you offered an optional layout with more than 3 top-priority tasks and more space for other tasks below that, by reducing the Notes section or having it in the right-hand column in place of the hourly entries (which I have no need for as a sort-of pensioner). Also have no need for sleep or performance tracking.

Sweet! Possible to obtain the same template without the entire right-hand column (habits/training and hour-by-hour entries)? I‘d prefer to have more space in the main section, and don‘t need anything in the right column.

Purchased the template and am having fun with it. However, too limited to replace my Google calendar and task list. Amazon has a lot of work to do to make this a viable desk diary. But, you did a good job and I am enjoying it on the side.

I see you have a notebook on Etsy as well. Is it also possible to download a completed flattened copy of the PDF from that notebook as you can with this one? I hope I am understanding correctly. Thank you!

Yes, you can. With any PDF that is loaded onto the Scribe, you can write, highlight and erase over it without damaging the template (you can’t erase the PDF background). Then, you can use the Scribe’s share command to email a copy to yourself or up to 5 people at once. During the export to email, the entire PDF is flattened, meaning that the markup you’ve made on the Scribe becomes flattened onto the PDF and is no longer editable in the exported copy. The original copy on the Scribe remains editable though 👍 I hope this helps ✌️

Nice template! And thanks for the pro tip on the sync service. Do you know if it’s possible to view the hand written notes on the web, even if you can’t in the Kindle app? I’m probably going to create my own template from my Scribe - I used a purchased template for OneNote last year but it was a bit too complicated so I never used it to its full potential. Just ordered a scribe so will need to move to a PDF based planner anyway

Is this the only thing the scribe is good for? I was hoping it would be a good way to take meeting notes and facility survey and design notes. Maybe the rocketbook flip is the way to go?

I like the Scribe for notes - it is pretty basic though… they are planning updates, but I wouldn’t buy it hoping for anything - better to be surprised than expectant. I have more details about Scribe notes in my full review - this video was dedicated to my agenda template ✌️

I’ll be releasing a template building PPT file on Etsy in the coming week or so and will follow that up with a video about it and how to use it. It won’t walk through everything, but it does have 25 page templates I’ve built that can be mix and matched.

Are you writing on this specific PDF or another that you’ve added to your Scribe? My agenda template should be completely unlocked so that it is editable, but some other PDFs may have varying levels of DRM locks enabled that would prevent you from writing on them. It also makes a difference when the PDF was uploaded - documents uploaded to your Kindle Library before the Scribe was released need to be re-uploaded to your library because they weren’t encoded for writing before Kindle had a writing tablet. I hope this helps.

I downloaded your PDF from Etsy to my scribe, it’s in the library and i can open it, but the table of contents and the weeks that are supposed to be hyperlinks don’t work… Am I doing something wrong?

It is not clear to me how to use a pdf as a multiple pages notes, once I uploaded it to the scribe. I made pdf templates with a vector software, and I like to use it to keep a daily note, with identical pages, is this possible? And how much space a repeated pdf I can expect to occupy?

The Scribe doesn’t just replicate pages with a PDF the way it does with notebooks. Instead, your best bet is to make the multi-page PDF on your computer - on a Mac, I use the thumbnail view in Preview to copy the page many times in the same file - then upload it to your Scribe. Alternatively, you can just build it to have more pages wherever you constructed your template (I use PowerPoint). The size will change a lot depending on how many things are included in the template.

Not necessarily huge, it all depends on the amount of detail you use. My template for an annual agenda is about 11.1Mb when empty - using the pen to write does add data too, but I would estimate at doubling the size maybe depending on how much you write on a single page.
