I’ve actually interned/volunteered here before COVID, and I can confirm the veracity of what’s been said here! The staff care a lot, educate people, and are generally super friendly-and I’ve seen and engaged with firsthand the massive amount of work that goes into keeping everything good (from misting chameleons, to feeding crested and day geckos, to helping visitors handle animals safely). Oh yeah, and I got my corn snake there, so that’s a bonus! :)

Ahh! I'm glad you got to do firsthand work there! I got my second snake, a TINY baby tessera corn there, and they've been extremely helpful!

The difference between this store and an average “reptile shop” is incredible, you can tell they truly care and are all about doing everything the right way.

I love this place. Love that he has a boa to show the size they'll get, customers almost always underestimate them. He clearly really cares about the animals, more so than making money.

22 years of my life as a reptile/amphibian lover living minutes from Plano and i never knew such Ana amazing place existed, who would’ve thought I would’ve realized it’s existence in the middle of twentynine Palms Ca while watching RU-vid 😂 thank you!! Beautiful place. And GREAT enclosures. I love the bels monitors. Cool that he has a red tail to show how big they really get to customers cause a lot of places wont do that due to them just wanting to make the sale.

Wow!! This is the most amazing reptile shop I’ve ever seen. I’ve NEVER been in a reptile shop that has TWO Croc Monitors in it!!!! And they look beautifully cared for in their gorgeous enclosure. Thanks for featuring this shop, Dav! Rattle On!!! 🐍🦎🐢❤️

@J Lande speak for yourself man, I actually enjoy hearing the human side of things. And i'm straight up autistic, so I'm not particularly interested in people, but I do like hearing the behind the scenes stuff of managing a reptile shop from a successful entrepreneur. But, I think you're forgetting that Dave used to do a thing called 'herpers' not 'herps', so he's always been interested in showing the passionate people behind the reptiles. Though, i'll never complain if a video is too long if he wants to throw even more animal footage on top.

I use to live right across the street and loved taking my beardie there. They are absolutely wonderful! Been there during a crocodile monitor feeding and when they accidentally let a dart frog escape. I miss it so much! :)

Living in Fort Worth we frequent DFW Reptarium, have several animals and TONS of supplies from these guys. They are always super helpful and very courteous. Good to see y’all showcase them.

Dav thank you for sharing my local herp shop! I am down the street from DFW Reptarium and am a huge supporter of Spicer and the team! Most of my snakes have come from here :) Probably semi obvious to folks who are in the know, but DFW Reptarium also utilizes Universal Rocks which is another local Dallas company . Spicer and the team offer a lot of things greatly needed in our industry/hobby...having a problem with a stubborn eater? They will help. Can't get your temps and humidy right? They will help. Want to go bioactive and have no idea wth to start? They will help. They care greatly to the point that if you show interest in an animal and decide to purchase, they ask you about the care you plan on providing for them. I love this shop and all that Spicer is doing with his knowledge and his love for the hobby. Next time you come to Plano, go to Rusty Tacos off of Coit and Hedgecoxe ;) lol you won't regret it. Oh and also Winner's BBQ off of 15th. aaand for the Fishing Adventures.....Cedar Creek Lake look up Jackie Kennedy tell him you know Booger's brother and sister in law. Hmm. Ok, one more. There is a place up in McKinney, Heard Natural History Museum.

I started working at a mom and pop pet shop like this when I was 18 in Michigan, they had big naturalistic displays and many species of monitors. It was such a cool job and I got so much hands of experience with everything from fat tail geckos all the way up to Argus monitors and Burmese pythons. I’m 39 now and they are still open and have two shops now, I’ll never forget my time working there and still going strong in the reptile hobby, have 12 snakes, 3 geckos and a bunch of tarantulas.. hope to get more once I move lol

This was the store that helped me out with my boa and understanding their size and temperament and what they need as an adult! Great place to go and check out and bring the kids. So glad that they are going to expand that is a true testament of their love of reptiles and their abilities to share that love with the community!

I love this place, I got my golden blue baboon and pink toe tarantula from them. They do have the best wood selection I know of in the Dallas area. I always have to look at the house critters every time I go there

I am a local and I've been going to them ever since I got a rescue ball and eventually getting 3 western hognoses and plan on breeding next year. They have already told me they would buy my babies and I'm excited to help support my local hero enthusiasts.

Yo Dav! This was an awesome video, full of content w/ many different reptiles to see in-store. He has a very cool store in Texas, I would love to visit someday, I live in Houston so he's about 4 hours away from me. Keep doing ya thing Mr. Dav Kaufman, love all your reptile tour videos, u have been to some exclusive, top notch, underground places where reptiles are kept as pets in their custom rooms with artistic, roomy, full of energy enclosures. This shop is amazing. Who would ever think that people would buy pieces of wood and branches. I didn't know they did. I have learned so much about reptiles watching RU-vid. It's almost like I should have paid tuition. $5.99 a month doesn't seem fair!. But I like it!

Absolutely worth it! They're in Plano, in a little strip mall with a DQ rn! Its a gorgeous facility you wouldn't expect to find between a pool shop and a Chinese restaurant.

Cool vidéo. Great store. Some of the decor features looked familiar so I guess they are from Universal Rocks. Same one as Snake Discovery use for their facility. 😁
