I had the pleasure of visiting Robert The Flying Crow in Texas, and he invited me into his train shed. Man video does not do it justice. In person it is absolutely amazing. Thanks for taking us along, Pappy. I watch all of his videos and livestreams and I think that’s the first time I ever saw the swamp scene. Robert is a incredible modeler and the work he did on the refinery with the racks, the lights and the fencing were tedious at best but he did it all and it is amazing. I hope Tammy is healed up real soon. Great visit.

🤣🤣🤣 yeah I was so mezzmerized by the layout and talking, then i wanted to eat with him and wanted to get track side with him, That I never even thought about running a train till he mentioned it 🤣🤣🤣 it was a great visit..probably the only time I'll get to do it. @@TriGogglin agreed I'm very much amateur at all this stuff, I've always like trains since I was a little kid my parents had a train set Around the Christmas Tree. As you know I don't have a train Channel I just like to post some train videos and I support people I like I support cooking channels and car channels of music channels I'm all over the place. Like your other channel just a potluck of Fun

It's a little of both, some tanks are scratch the part of the Refinery he found assembled but reworked it with more details and piping and all the lights. And the loading platforms is a combo of kits and scratch. And he's adding more to it soon..

Robert has an awesome layout. I enjoyed watching him work on the scenery near the bridge a while back. I completely expected to see a space shuttle near the refinery. Great video Pappy!

Your layout triggers memories. I grew up in New Orleans and went to college in cenla (central Louisiana), starting in 1975. I saw lots of KCS and Rock Island and MoPac. I remember a KCS local at Williana ,LA, powered by White GP30/GP7 combo. And there was a pulpwood yard served by the Rock that I could see from my dorm window in Pineville. The scenery so far triggers memories. I look forward to seeing more videos of your work. Thank you for sharing this.

I'm on the road and having to use lower frame per second and stuck using hotel wifi to upload, it's not been a good combo.. I'm just glad to get what I can to share with everyone. @@TriGogglin That's what I thought. When it gets to something a bit to scale, no one's doing it. Sometimes, it's like better to buy S scale stuff to fit HO scale. Most of buildings kits (especially Walthers) are too compressed and not to scale !

@@kcsthebetterway no I did not 🤣🤣 was videoing the layout and a talked roberts ear off yhen went to eat then railfanning so running trains didn't happen, I think Robert was a bit disappointed by that.. 🤣🤣 but I only had so much time.. I do regret it though. But there's always the next time.. appreciate you watching
