Hey Rattlers! I want to hear from you! What did you all think of Jan Paul's awesome facility? Leave a comment and also let us know if you know of any other really awesome reptile facilities anywhere in the world? I want to go film them! Rattle On!
My mom lives in homosassa the have a cool wildlife park ....they have hot springs and you can swim with manatee ...they have Gators walk through and a boat ride through the park too pretty cool bunch of gators
I‘m not a reptile keeper but this is... I‘m speechless. It‘s so beautiful, the animals are so chilled, they love their life. That’s what I saw as a non-professional. Must be like you mentioned... like a kid in Disneyland. Jan Paul seems to be a very nice person and I think a little bit shy. That makes him extra sympathetic. Thanks for sharing this awesome adventure at such a wonderful and incredible place. Have an amazing journey.
Hey Sandy, I think with a few modifications this could be converted to a regular animal home. It truly is fantastic. Now, when I win the lottery, I know what I can spend all those millions on.
Dāv. My jaw *literally dropped*. It’s like Jurassic Park meets REAL magic. This place is just a testament to human ingenuity & naturalism maintained. Thank you & Jan for this 🙏🏼
Dav, that truly is a once in a lifetime adventure. Jan Paul is really smart. I noticed when he was explaining different projects, nothing had just one use. For example, water coming through heated the floor and misted the animals. And I was pleasantly surprised when he was talking to you one of the spotted string rays came up to him and Jan Paul had food that he fed the sting ray. He clearly spends time with his animals. They are not just display animals. When he pulled off the leaves to feed some animals it reminded me of Kenan Hardwick. Dav, I’m glad you had the opportunity to see Jan Paul’s place. Perhaps some other herpers and even zoos can get ideas from what he has done. His initial outlay was huge, but he did it in such a way to reduce costs in the future. Thanks for the video. Pat
I was also truly impressed at the innovation and forethought he put into his structures and enclosures. He went farther than just ‘simulating’ a natural environment, he provides almost a complete clean up crew for his animal! Besides all the live plants and soil, he has smaller animals in each of the larger enclosures to keep the water clean and break things down into smaller waste components. The food web is also respected with each of those creatures taking care of any possible pest control, while the larger creatures take care of population control. It’s simply brilliant.
Im so glad dav did a video on Jan and his home, Jan's channel was the one i suggested you check out in ypur dream reptile video bc of his Caiman lizard Hugo 😊
This man's house is incredibly amazing and engrossing. I have never seen this type of reptile work ANYwhere. The basement is literally a temple of reptiles what a beautiful house 🦎🤪
Imagine what we all could accomplish if we put the life stealing tech devices down and put that time toward whatever we were actually passionate about. This is absolutely inspiring, I'm already the type of person who goes deep into my passions and hobbies but after watching this I'm all in, no more waisting any time at all.
this has to be unrivaled. Id say better than a zoo because you have one keeper, one thread of trust and care relationship. what an incredible display and gem in the hobby!
It’s so amazing I’d actually say this man probably has to be borderline insane. The amount of just pure dedication and endless mind blowing work he has to be a bad man..lol
That is the most unbelievable house I have ever seen! He could totally charge admission! Beautiful monitors and the rays in the basement, holy crap. Fantastic!!
The propane/water heating system should be fairly cheap, and he uses a lot of natural light and has all that stone thermal mass, so he's as efficient as possible. I hesitate to guess and how much his energy costs went up, but it's much less than it could be with a different system.
That bazooka used a 35kW heating system tho. That's a lot of money. I work for a pool equipment company, and we design electric heaters etc. Your average 8x4 meter swimming pool would need about 15-18kW of heating to maintain the temperature if you are not living in very cold climates. That's 48 cubic meters of water being heated, and it still requires about HALF of that bazooka. This dude would save so much money if he invested in something like a heat pump using inverter technique. The COP (coefficient of performance) can go up to 15. Which means that it'll produce a heat worth 15 kW, when all you are actually putting in is 1kW. Needless to say, his house and the way he built it is beyond anything I have ever seen. Such a smart design, and I also like that he is using water as a heating medium instead of running a bunch of electric heaters.
@katy donawether Your USA numbers couldn't be more wrong. The US state with the most expensive energy prices is Hawaii; their price per kWh is similar to Portugal/Italy, and about 2/3 the price of German electric prices. Our 2nd most expensive state/s are Alaska and Connecticut; their prices are similar to Luxembourg and Finland, and about 10% cheaper than UK electricity. Energy in the US is, by far, cheaper than the EU. I don't know where you got your information. Would you care to share? "where did you get these tombstones....?" "Some old guy in the garden" lol seriously I love your awkward silence...lol I'm absolutely fascinated and blown away!!!! This is beautiful awesome and insane!!!!!!! Wow!!
This is the most amazing setup I've ever seen. I'd pay him to make me something similar if I had the money. You can tell he really loves his animals and interacts with them often, they aren't just on 'display'.
One in a billion hell one in a trillion you will never forget how awsome that place is and one better you will compair in your head every other place to this WOW
He is so devoted to their natural needs. Especially when you are obtaining wild caught species I feel it is so important to provide stimulation and as natural environ as possible and he has aced it. I also love that he likes them to stay wild acting though idk if that is a good thing or a bad rather just a preference. They have a lot of what they want in addition to everything they need and they are not being predated.
Dude this is the definition of a true animal lovers dream house there's so make pple that got alot of property that is awesome also but this is next level and these animals look happy it's a whole ecosystem in a house crazy!! Super cool Dāv🐢🦎🐸
This man's dedication to raising his collection the best way for them n still being amazing to view is astounding. And the fact that he dug out that basement, as well as designing n building this cages blows my mind It looks so much better than the average zoo or museum. There may be a few exceptions but for the most part, it is better than the average zoo open to the public.
WOW! I can’t even wrap my mind around how much work he did to get to this point!! Just an unbelievable place. Most people find it hard to believe that a reptile can inspire so much love and dedication, but they are such awe inspiring creations that a lot of us that keep reptiles just can’t help but go a little crazy on them!
Absolutely amazing!! Not gonna lie id love to have this set up with everything built in. Any reptile would be lucky to live here. You have to visit this mans room again and find similar to feature on the channel.
Omgosh this is the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen. Not only are the room stunning but the fact that they’re self contained is so cool. He has put so much love and effort into his reptiles. And the Ray was such a cool site to see. Every herper/reptile owners dream home 😂💚
I LOVE IT!!! I sat with my mouth open and my eyes staring at this incredible house. That man is a genius. So many amazing animals and well thought out.
I remember the days when the tombstones weren't there yet and the digging was still in progress. It was always one of the craziest but best builds for a long time.
Yay!! I’ve been following that channel for a while now. I randomly searched “indoor rainforest” and one of his videos showed up and I was left speechless after I watched the basement at night video 👌❤️
This facility is so incrediable, sensational, amazing, unbelievable, mesmerizing and breathtaking. It's something to write home about. Thank you so much for sharing.
A lot of times when I see titles like "the most amazing x" it does not live up to the title. This... wow. This is the most amazing reptile room in the world. What a great inspiration to up my husbandry.
Dav your videos help me so much to get ideas for the reptile zoo I am currently designing to be built next year. Can't thank you enough brother. You'll have to come do a video of the place in a couple of years! it will be based in Queensland australia and the plans are really big at the moment it's going to be incredible!
This is a dream place for any animal lovers... Someday I wanna follow people like him to make my own job.... not only reptiles or amphibian, perhaps insects, mammals, bird, etc...
Amazing I have no words to express how I fill about this incredible house,Zoo,facility all I know is that this gentlemen did a great amazing incredible I don't know what other way to explain this facility and then there the animals am speechless this is one of the best no no no this is the best reptile facility I have seen on RU-vid internet or TV so great job Dev on this amazing video.
One word: Astounding. Truly an I press ice collection of rare animals. And the careful placement of heating in the rooms is so perfectly planned! Glad you got to film this Dāv!
I would pay $45 to tour his enclosure. And probably visit 2 times a month. This is a better set up than any zoo or aquarium I have ever been to. Just WOW.
Please dont pay anything. He doesnt own nothing not. Everything is taken from him. He let some reptiles starve to death, some are died, and many don't look good. He is the biggest noob and dont deserve to have animals again. Im happy the judge took everything from him.
@@anniemorrell9326 don't believe those lies. I don't know who is hiding behind ''newhiphopmusic'' but think for yourself. Would someone who doesn't have a life-long passion and experience with these animals be able to build such amazing enclosures? No. There are two sides in this story but I have been there multiple times and even did an internship there, and have seen for myself that he did care very well for the animals.
Absolutely amazing man, so much thought and attention to details. I literally couldn’t think of anything you missed. Other then the tombstone road I wouldn’t change a thing. 💯
At the 11 minute mark was insane then 17 seconds later there was a caiman lizard one of my favorite reptiles and the sailfin Dragon on the branch thank you so much for showing this it is my dream reptile home
Jan Paul is so talented and amazing that is so very beautiful. The habitat is so natural even better than in the wild thank you so very much for sharing your home with everyone. I would love to live there Jan Paul you could build natural environment for people and get paid for it then you could finish building your amazing home♥️🦋🌺🌻🐢🐊🦎
