After I did my full 1st class walkthrough of the Titanic and uploaded it, I realized I never discovered where the Strauss suite was, so here you go!
The original Titanic Demo 401 walkthrough:
• Titanic Daytime Tour: ...
You can get this Demo401 for free on PC in the link below, keep in mind the whole demo won't be released until January 1st 2022, so until then, you'll get bits and pieces of it released one after another, requiring you to re-download it every time they add something.

🚢Titanic has fireplaces in many of the first class staterooms. Titanic’s fist class lounge and reading/writing room had fireplaces too. However they were all only decorative with electric heaters in them. Titanic’s first class smoke room was the only place on the ship that a real coal burning fireplace.👍

Titanic had two parlor suites each opposite to each other on B Deck. The port suite was indeed occupied by J Bruce Ismay but the suite you are referring to the one occupied by Titanic Rose was in fact occupied by the Cardeza Family. Each of the parlor suites also had a Tudor style Private Promenade.
@AlextheHistorian

Yes the in the movie they show several suites that rose stays in and they pretend it's all one big suite. So they show the Cardeza Suite and the Strauss Suite in the movie as one big one.

The straus room detail is astounding. I also though this was J Bruce Ismay’s suite. Love the clock tick sound too. The toilet seems quite “industrial” for such a luxurious suite. Perhaps private water closets were rare in 1912, similar to titanic’s pool . Out of curiosity, would you pay for a copy of this demo? I was thinking the experience is so amazing, I think I would happily pay money for it. I know the guys do patreon donations which Id be happy to do, but I’m wondering making it paid could make it more viable for them? Would love to hear your thoughts. Also just found your channel. @RobinPratt
@RobinPratt 2 года назад
@@AlextheHistorian I cannot be sure exactly what the 4 lines coming into the box heater are but the 2 smaller valves would be for the showerbath and the lower larger ones for the bathtub. The copper pipe coming out of the bottom of the box is the fill supply for the tub. They did not have a spout as we know but a fill disc on the side that let the water in silently. The handled stand-up tube is indeed the drain. Usually you would lift it up and turn to lock in place for draining or opening. But to avoid a mess on board, this may work in the opposite so that it is always "open" rather than closed. You would either lift or press to drain. Since the handle is so high in the air, I am assuming that "open" is when it is in the raised position and you would turn it and lower it to close for filling the tub. I am sure the original blueprints would designate just what those 4 lines are. I see that there is a large black valve on the ceiling over the sink which is a main shut off, but there is only one so if it were a steam heating system there has to be a inlet (supply) and outlet (return). Since electricity was the current modern thing, I am wondering since the space heater is electric that this might also be?. Probably. I believe that in the 1950 film "Cheaper By The Dozen" or it's sequel, the girls go to England and there is an on-demand water heater attached to the tub that is coin operated. It is called the "Geyser". A funny routine but shows a vintage water heater of British make.

@AlextheHistorian

I think they said their accuracy with the ship was in the upper 90%. They had unprecedented access to information and photographs from various historians, institutes, and artifacts. Taking measurements and extracting information from various resources like files, books, and data records. I couldn't tell you what is real there or what isn't...but I trust that there is a high likelihood that what we see is probably what was there.

Yes, but people didn't spend a fortune on that cabin suite for utility, they paid for luxury and comfort.
