I used to live a few blocks north and a few east of there...near Chang Phuak gate. I love the sound of the Doves and the Bul Buls. Miss that.

All they had to do was pass their names to the Chinese embassy, and the Chinese would probably do worse once they get home than the Thais could do.

Really enjoyed the visit to the temple and your past visits t other temple sites. If you can find the time, would you walk along the high brick wall that has the big gates where there are always people taking photographs and the moat by the wall, etc. and explain what all of that is? You rarely discuss architecture, history, etc. of historic places you walk by. We don’t need a big long history lecture just a few major notes on what we are seeing. I would really appreciate it. Also, been watching you for years and are thankful that your illness came out so well….I was really concerned about you! Thanks.

I agree that there seems to be more incidences with tourists in Thailand behaving badly. It was likely they weren't going to rock the boat on that couple as it wasn't worth it to upset the Chinese, who have a lot of tourist money coming into the kingdom and a lot of business ties like new high speed rail. Hopefully it'll all get sorted and people will act appropriately.

It takes some real maintenance to keep the mildew away in Thailand I see, but that is why it is such a green lush place. Going off the scales under the influence of substances is not wise, and prudent behavior. I heard that ancient Israel used to once publicly ritualize public acts of sex. Behaviors of kind may have very well led to Moses the law giver who handed down some very forbidding strictures.

Interesting,some people have No morals but I 1st started coming to Thailand in 1988 and saw scum bags back then and had trouble w/ them in Patpong back themn but now everything is on the internet real quick.Its all about the baht,Thailand isan't going to make a big deal about little crappy things,keep those Tourists dollars coming in.

Considering that about 30 plus million tourists have visited in a year those misbehaving are beyond small numbers. Just a few people but they get a lot of attention because of social media. In the past no one knew when those few people misbehaved .

MJane is as it called in many places a 'weed' will grow anywhere . Here in RSA , can possess a limited amount , not for sale . if sold through shops etc , assume they would pay some taxes ?

Small wonder you have not been to some places . I only had 5 days there some years ago and got seriously lost , hotel was not far from the wall part :-) Was only when I went up north did I realise how big the city is . :-) At least the bad tourists are not confined to one group , could get a ' travel advisory ' on arrival !

This has nothing to do with ganja...😂 it's more likely that they did yabba combined with alcohol. I live in Holland and we decriminalised ganja in the 70's and nobody is doing the hoky poky in public when they smoked. They do when they are drunk though cause when you're drunk you loose all sense of reality
