WHO ARE THE KING'S GUARD? THE LIFE GUARDS (LG) is the most senior regiment of the British Army and part of the Household Cavalry, along with The Blues and Royals. BLUES AND ROYAL: Formed in 1969, the regiment emerged from the merger of the Royal Horse Guards ("the Blues") and the Royal Dragoons ("the Royals"), units with roots in the mid-17th century. Serving globally, it had roles in Northern Ireland, the Cold War in West Germany, the Falklands War, UN missions in Bosnia, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was part of key defense strategies and reconnaissance missions. Notably, Prince William and Prince Harry joined as cornets in 2006. #TheKingsGuardUK Thank you for your service! ❤️🇬🇧

Then they shouldn’t turn it into a petting zoo. Petting the horses is ridiculous.

2:13 - Ugh!! 🙄 Need attention much?! *~~~~~* 8:06 - I love how the tourists see the trooper that comes out, and they see his interaction with the horse, and then they go and try the same thing, and it totally doesn't work. What they are failing to realize is that the horses are very familiar with the troopers, and there's always a slight playfulness between them. It's the same with Ormonde and the COH. It's a different interaction than he has with the tourists. Yes, he still nips at him but more playfully, and he doesn't seem irritated with him. There's a little give and take. *~~~~~* 27:18 Does she actually think that the horse understands her, and therefore won't bite her? He bit her several times, and she was even offering her arms and back for him to bite! I think she wanted him to bite her!

The woman at 2:11 was so disrespectful, this isn't the first time she behaved badly close to a military soldier because in a youtube short she was the same woman in the court yard dancing in from of a military soldier and the woman at 27:10 who did she think she was. she was she was invading the horse's personal space, not the other way around and besides, it is her fault that he nipped her because there is a warning sign on the wall in big bold print!! and that one woman who asked permission to feed the horse, she did anyway, even though he didn't respond. she should have taken that no response as a "no", so, what was the point of asking permission is she was doing it anyway?!!

I sort of see your point. If everyone fed the horses, they’d be the size of a house. And there is the issue of trust. I have seen people give the horses mints before, but I feel like often it’s someone they know, like a police officer, retired or off duty guard, etc. At the same time, in my mind, knowing the guards don’t usually speak or respond to tourists unless they are telling them to get off the reins, move back, and such, I would be surprised and thrilled by a “yes”, but would expect a clear “no, head shake, step away (or whatever gesture) if what I asked about, wasn’t welcome.

But lol, that woman telling the horse not to bite cracks me up. Like…is the horse your child and will you give him a time out if he doesn’t listen? 😂 Crazy. I might be tempted to say no out of habit if a horse tried to bite, but I would do so as I’m stepping away because I don’t care to be bitten by an annoyed horse. I wouldn’t point at it and step closer until I get my photo.

Posing is disrespectful. Even kisses. You do not talk to the horse like that.
