From the bus routes to the King's Guard & Horses at Horse Guards in London.
WHO THE KING'S GUARDS ARE? Formed in 1969, the regiment emerged from the merger of the Royal Horse Guards ("the Blues") and the Royal Dragoons ("the Royals"), units with roots in the mid-17th century. Serving globally, it had roles in Northern Ireland, the Cold War in West Germany, the Falklands War, UN missions in Bosnia, and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was part of key defense strategies and reconnaissance missions. Notably, Prince William and Prince Harry joined as cornets in 2006. ❤ 🇬🇧

45:15 'push him'...yeah, that is going to leave a very positive impression on the horse and he will get it nice and easy the next time. Anyone saying to push a horse in, has never experienced the power of a horse. One does not just push a horse around. Try it and you will get pushed back or kicked But most importantly, you want a horse to learn that loading unto a trailer isnt a scary thing. So, lots of patience and positive reinforcements is the only way.
Thank you for this "blast from the past", as they say (from last week), i've been missing them!😢All of them, both Blues and Life Guards!😞That dapple grey from the Met Police that you say is your favorite, is one very beautiful horse, so very unique, because the pattern of white spots on the grey color, as well as his height, are impressive☺ I hope i'm not mistaken, but it could very well be Zodiac. Zodiac is a very tall horse from the Met Police, he is dapple grey and he has a distinctive pattern of white spots on his grey coat, they look like stars on a grey sky, a "splash" of stars in the sky😋 And this horse seems to have that pattern, at least from the distance you're filming. It's a very unusual name for a horse, when i first heard it, i made the connection only with the (in)famous never caught serial killer from late 60's in San Francisco, who used to sign his cryptic coded letters like that.😆 The codes he used were a combination of many other codes and only 2 of his 3 letters have been deciphered (the first, back then; and the second one only in 2021, using a specially designed computer software and artificial intelligence to break the code). It was also a popular brand of watches back then, as well as now (although they don't produce the line that he suposedly wore in 1969 anymore).
Wonderful, love how all the family said "thank you" to her also. You could tell by her expression that the visit really touched the guards heart and meant a lot to her.
Absolutely agreed! The King's Guard is very patient with rude tourists. This video showcases how some tourists can be disrespectful by standing in their way during the Changing of the Guard Ceremony and laughing after the King's Guard tells them to get out of the way. #TheKingsGuardUK thank you for your service!
5:55 - It seems as if this particular guard lets anyone feed his horse. Such a bad idea! This weird fella let the horse get its mouth on whatever he was offering it, before throwing in into his own mouth!! 🤮 It appeared as if the female MOD officer gave the horse a treat before this guy offered whatever that was, and that's why the horse didn't eat it. *~~~~* 9:14 - Great teamwork between the MOD officer and the guard and horse!
The Chinese ladies all seem to have no idea about animals? I see many/most of them reach out to the horse which obviously gets its attention but then squeal and back off, only to do the same actions again and again?
Amazing horsemanship, I wonder is it a young horse? The crowds were upsetting him however the guard did an amazing job, being persistent making him circle and stand, I noticed the bit was off, of course he was fighting the bit to get his own way, but didn't get away with anything. Towards the end I noticed the curb chain hanging at one side, I wonder if they had to tighten it a bit because he's prone to acting up. Either way I really admire the guard being firm the whole time. Annoying to watch tourists still trying to get a photo with a horse that's cleary freaking out at them being in his face
In all the videos I have seen featuring OUR PROUD OUTSTANDING SOLDIERS, not one of these fucking tourists said a simple 'Thank You'........manners go along way in this country, learn that quickly. They are OUR ARMED FORCES not your entertainment.
I would make it a law to NOT touch the horses. Mainly because you get crazy people like this that think the horses are there just for them. Forget the kids, so many adults have no idea on how to behave in public.
I wish the cameraman was more focused on the disrespectful tourists instead of zooming inside the gate while changing guards. On the left box seems like so many disrespectful tourists don't listen as the guard and the police officer tell them to stand aside for their safety.
Immorality and all against fear of God and laws of the sovereign Creator of the Universe brings indifference and lack of moral consciousness for law ...for respect for authority as well as ungratefulness for the many blessings
This man is a true gentleman& such a sweetie for bringing refreshments so they don't get dehydrated. The boss gives the impression of being a true leader, but inside he is a major softie who cares about people ❤
As long as the public ask for permission to pet the kings guards horse and the guards give them the ok they are allowed to pet the horse as long as they don't touch the rains of the horse or are cruel to the guard and horse if the guard says don't touch the horse then they will not touch the horse
So sweet. I just love this beautiful old tradition. The guards in their fancy uniforms, the beautiful horses, the pageantry - even though I'm American and probably will never get the chance to see this in my life, it's so wonderful watching others interact.
That's great!!!😀😀 You filmed the entire Change of the Guard Ceremony, thank you very much!!🥰🥰 I must say, they did it perfectly, wow! 🤩These horses seem a lot more relaxed and quiet and very mindful of who's around. Plus everything seems to happen a lot more smooth and fast with the Artillery (when they leave, when they arrive, when they split the first group for the 11.00 o'clock shift). The Cavalry horses are a lot bigger, so size plays a very important part in this situation. Plus i've come to the conclusion that many of them are very extrovert ones, in the sense that they like to assert themselves...and they like to show off A LOT😄😄 But i still miss them😔😢 (even now, i'm still talking about them) The wheelchair scene was absolutely heartwarming🥰🥰🥰

Coitado do King's guard....querendo rir e não podendo. Família é igual em qualquer lugar do planeta, gostamos de constranger e ao mesmo tempo se orgulhar de nossos parentes.❤❤❤
