Seriously Lee.. I comment all the time saying how great your videos are but I really want to thank you.. Your videos, the music and how you edit them, when in the Lakes just fill me with joy. I have so much nostalgia to the lakes and going there with my parents when I was younger, and having you as someone to rely on when I need that little lift now and again, I am so grateful for. No one else puts great LD footage up. You're one of a kind Mr Davey

Thank you Lee and Geoff, a lovely video, i love the Lakes District it is a beautiful part of Britain, i truely enjoyed it during my travels around the UK back in the 70s. Yes Lee there are to many tourists now every where you go. The same is happening in Australia, to many tourists, its push n shove, also difficult finding a car parking spot 😮 Au

I've been to the lakes when I was a young man in my 30s with then lady love. She was a Cumbrian lass from Cockermouth Sue Bell. Sadly she is no longer with us now. She passed away a couple of weeks after my mum passed away in 2007. Life is cruel.

I was a tourist on Monday in Bowness! Couldn’t get a parking space so we headed back to Keswick and had a chippy from the kingfisher! (I noticed on a previous video you’d been there) chippy was excellent! Went back and had another a couple of days later! Windermere was too busy for us tbh! Loved Keswick! Was a great week though! The scenery around the lakes is among the best!!! 👍🏻

Good Evening Lee and Geoff. I really Loved watching your Movie of your visit to the Lake District and the most Stunning Lake of Windermere. I really liked seeing your Re-anactment of You Lee, when your Father took that Photograph of Yourself standing beside the Beautiful Steam Locomotive at the Train Stations platform. Your Father would have been so Proud and pleased to have seen that Lee. Well Done. I really Enjoyed your very Beautiful and Picturesque Boat Trip over to Bowness. It really takes your Breath away how Beautiful the Lake District and Windermere really is. Loving the Banter and the Funny Lines of Comedic Gold the Yourself Lee and the Lovely Gentleman Mr. Geoff Carter the one and only. I really liked seeing you go to the Pubs and have a few Pints of Lager and Cider. I do agree, that i think that the Tourism has really just gotten to Commercialised and it could also be people booking lots of Air B&B Holiday Properties and it has pushed away the Local people and Residents away from the Villages. It is the Greedy and Shelfish Rich again being Catered for and looked after, just because they can Afford to. Glad you had a Good time and some Beautiful Food at the Anglers Arms. Many a Pint was drank that day i would presume. Thank you Lee and Geoff. Keep Smiling and Enjoy Life.

Love this railway and boat trip, I last done it around 1988 and yes it’s a fabulous trip. Height of the summer too so full of tourists. I do love my cider whether it be original apple or pear, (Perry), cider. Some of the fruit ones are nice too. I worked on the railways for just under 23 yrs and in that time saw plenty of “gricers”, (railway enthusiasts), leaning out of the train windows. You cannot do that anymore with the modern stock on Britain’s railways. I do remember that Young Ones sketch when Vivian lost his head. Will now have to watch Geoff’s vlog if this trip👌

Lovely video, Geoff is a very funny and likeable guest star. I grew up in Derbyshire which is also very beautiful, I've never been to the lake district though but the scenery is stunning although the crowds would put me off going nowadays. Re Spain and their wish for no tourists ... I think all Brits should respect their wish and see what happens, you wouldn't have too long to wait.

Traders love the crowds - make plenty of money - but I imagine that the ordinary (not that business people are not ordinary - but you know what I mean) people are sick to death of 1000s of strangers clogging up the streets and parking where they shouldn't. I bet a few of those vehicles somehow develop flat tyres and other sundry problems during their stay.

Controversial but I honestly think it's time that we started charging to enter places like this... With us adding millions more people to the country over the next few years, it's inevitable that we're going to need to do something like that anyway... The country can't cope with the population explosion!... The last time i went to Bowness it was heaving too, full of drunk chavs who left litter everywhere... They even threw gravy all over the swans!
