The first time I stood viewing the bridge from Tower Wharf, I was amazed... at her size, at her workmanship, and at her beauty. I'm still amazed each time, even now with viewing via this video. Stunning.
I love this channel and how you tell fascinating stories. I'm Italian but I love the UK its history, culture, music, comedy, people, food and more that I can't express. Thanks for this channel ❤
@@LindaMerchant-pm8vn In fact I love English especially spoken in England, I believe that there was a previous life perhaps my roots would be English, I like to think like this because I love England and Wales and the 2 Ireland, but I feel more English 😅
Tremenda obra de ingeniería y, tantos hombres que trabajaron en ella. Habría que rendirles un homenaje a tantos valientes que la construyeron . Saludos
I've been several times in London and always admired the beauty of the Tower Bridge, but never been inside. Thank you for a very well presented video and best wishes to your family member 😊
I’ve been over it, I’ve been under it and I’ve photographed it many times but I’ve never been in it. That was a very interesting video. Need to get back to London again! Cheers!
That was excellent. I didnt realise that you could walk through the bridge like that and Im sure Im not the only person who thought that was London bridge not towerbridge. Its much newer than I thought as well. Thanks for taking us on this tour. Cheers Cheryl 🙂
So good to know & understand how this famous bridge was created 😊, your blog never stop surprising me with so many stunning & iconic contents, I'm glad & thankful to you both as your videos too good 👍 that I'm obsessed watching many of your videos again and again especially England village videos, they bring peaceful vibes around me ❤ never enough to adore your efforts in making wonderful videos👌👍
Amazing! The Tower Bridge is a very beautiful & is such an impressive bridge! Along with having such a fascinating & interesting history of its building & inception. The walkway is also amazing, especially the glass floor! Although it looks quite scary when you look down!! Yikes! Then again, I am scared of heights! Ooooh! Scary! However, the views from the Bridge, both, of the River Thames & of the City of London are just breathtaking! Indeed! Thank you for sharing another wonderful experience!
Very interesting history, despite it not being as 'ancient' as we might think. The late 19th Century was full of engineers and builders, racing to make the tallest, longest, best bridge/tunnel/dam/locks/sky-scraping buildings. Though later (1914), the engineering project that benefited California the most (since the Transcontinental Railroad, completed 1869/1870) was the Panama Canal. And all of it done without computers. Tossing up red hot bolts? I can't even imagine. Many years ago, my (new at the time) husband and I walked down to the bridge from the Tower of London. It was amazing to experience it in 'real life' after seeing it for years on my Granddad's tea tins. :)
Hi Simon and Will. Tower Bridge really is a beautifully intricate London landmark. I ❤it’s blue colour. It really makes the whole structure stand out. Fascinating on the inside as well as having an equally fascinating history. Will is definitely a man of mystery, the back of him popping up in the odd video. Hope he’s not making you do all the work Simon. LOL ❤🇨🇦🇬🇧 The both of you take care til next time. EDIT: Those glass floors are freaky. They mess with your brain.
Hello great video I enjoyed seeing inside I have walked over many times but never stopped to go in , now after seeing this its a must with luck next Spring :) Thank you.
Hi Simon and Will! Hope all is well with both of you. This is an excellent video! I was hoping that you two would make a video on Tower Bridge, and I thank you so much for doing so! I've learned so much about this bridge in this outstanding video! I've always wanted to see just what you showed in this video. Again, thanks! Y'all stay safe out there!
A beautiful construction, I had no idea it was so beautiful. How clever people used to be in carrying out such large and complicated projects. thank you for the beautiful film and the interesting story, which proves to be indispensable again and again!!
Thank you for this most interesting and educational video regarding the Tower Bridge. I learned a huge amount today about this very famous landmark in London.
Absolutely amazing videos and great history you both are showing. I am jealous as a traveller that I am not even close to number of places you have visited, filmed and presented. Well done guys
I just got home to Canada yesterday from my London visit... and I had a spectacular view of Tower Bridge from my hotel room! Such a beautiful, iconic structure. I probably walked right past you the day you were filming! Thanks for another lovely video.
Very interesting, thank you. How far can the tall ships get beyond Tower Bridge? I'm assuming other bridges (Westminster, Lambeth, etc.) do not swing open; or do they do so? Thank you.
