This looks do damn good! Nice job John and your devs I recommend an animation of towers for losing, probably one where they fall down on their knees in defeat or be disappointed.

im assuming you're going to have an easy medium and hard mode, but i think it might also be cool if there was like a swarm mode, where rather than high health bosses, there would be just a lot of zombies. and from what I have seen with these tdx videos, I think swarm might utilize the splash damage and possible pierce of towers. if you were to make swarm, it might have an easy medium and hard mode Aswell, but each mode being harder having higher health zombies and more each time. just a suggestion though.

It’s looking sick! You know what would be cool is an easy way to use abilities, maybe something similar to Bloons TD6 where they are on the bottom of the screen so you don’t have to click the tower each time
hey john you should add a quick ability button at the corner that allows you to use your towers abilities without going one by one to use a ability and it stacks and tells you how many abilities you have ready
True but who likes slowly pressing each tower and then there ability if you need it right away and plus you won’t have to check how much time left before ability
So far this is looking to be the BEST tower defense game on Roblox. You've added so many new and unique features that I can't wait to get my hands on. I will definitely be buying all the gamepasses in this game.
SAME!!!!! i agree so much!! in the current moment, while i wait, my thirst for good TD games is satifyed by a game called "Geometry Defense!" you should check it out.
You should try and make an information tab where players can view information of towers, ability's, enemy powers, and weapon names. Or for idea 2 you can make a multi place tower and select upgrades when your gonna place like 15 towers that you need (you can just click and a ghost of a tower will appear and you can click a ghost again to make it dissapear) and on the right side of the screen you can see the upgrades for the tower and when you select the upgrades the towers will spawn with the selected upgrades. And you can maybe add a drag select to sell or upgrade towers (multible sidebars will appear)
The game's definitely come along ways! If I could recommend one thing, maybe a little 'activated ability' button for towers that have one? Could even have an 'auto' setting for it to activate as soon as it's off cooldown, kinda like Tower Blitz.
I suggest adding a losing animation for the tower when you lose the game Example: - Juggernauts having a mental breakdown after he failed - Ranger yells at the other tower cause they also failed protecting the base. Or just make him look up the sky while kneeling down - Shotgunner still standing while holding his shotgun, but he just looks down at the ground cuz how disappointing he is to himself
I really like how far this game has come, here is a recommendation for the late game specifically, make a feature where you can automatically move a tower with all of its upgrades but you still pay for all the upgrades when you move it. Just an idea to make it more easier to move towers, but don't do it if it will be to unbalanced though.
bro the dancing when they win is a sick addition, i can't wait to see the other towers! the targeting system is good, since you can't just place a level 0 shotgunner and have the boss target it instead of a max juggernaut since it's closer.
I was having doubts about this game as it didnt seem particularly interesting but the moment I saw the tower victory animations I was sold, no one can deny how much charm that adds to this game
I'm playing and switching as soon as this release. This game looks so fun and has so many mechanics compared to TDs where they literally copied an event, changed all the textures and called it an update.
This looks sick! Also I have feedback, when they throw the grenade it might be annoying to do all of that since usually you’re going to spam these towers all over the map. You might have to add a support tower where when a zombie comes into range the dude can throw the grenade at them instantly without having to click on it. Just an idea though.
So idea for the game: 1: towers would have defeat animations [one for if the wave doesn't have a boss, one for if the boss (plague doctor) is currently in the path and near towers, and one if a tower is next to a lesser tower (juggernaut next to shotgunner and lower), or next to an evenly balanced tower (shotgunner next to a shotgunner)]
This would be a nice feature instead of doing each ability one by one. But there should be an option to toggle it off an one so you can save the ability if needed.
Do it like tbz where there is an ability bar at the bottom, making it automatic lowers the skill ceiling, and makes it impossible to time it for maximum effectiveness.
Man this looks 🔥💯, btw i think it's a good idea to add an icon on the tower head if it has his ability ready so you know which tower you can use the ability

a little hint for the interface. I think I should add a little square under the upgrades that says tap to upgrade. so that new players can know how to update their units because if you think about it, no tower defense game that at least I have seen has something that tells you: touch To update. Another change that I suggest is that when the menu showing the statistics that are going to be improved is displayed, a small button next to the icons is added that, when touched, tells you the name of the statistic. This would be very useful for players who Do not understand the icons with this, you just have to press this button to know what statistic it is.
the plague doctor is such an amazing boss, i love how he have different attacks that does different things. the victory emote is a great detail you added in!
Suggestion: When the base takes damage, have an animation which makes it slowly breaks apart and when you lose, the base just explodes or something like that.
I'm actually very Happy to see your game slowly coming along together. Can't wait for it to be fully finished.👍 Edit: maybe for the defeat screen the towers can become zombified and have zombie animations?
By the way, the only other examples of a boss targeting towers I can think of are Advanced Mode in Vector Fission (last boss targets towers based on firerate, so a level 1 cleaner will be stunned quite a bit by that boss), and arena tower defense's 1st event (where there was an enemy that only attacked rabbits, like Gunner and Magician, maybe even Swordswoman). P.S. I am taking an Acellus JavaScript course, so I can understand your code (and secrets, but I don't program often). >:)
I really hope this game becomes successful, unlike most RU-vidr games that are popular for like a week after release. It looks so high quality with it not even complete yet
Hey John. Im not sure if you will make the maps somehow connect to other maps, BUT it would be a nice idea if like for a 10% chance that if they break through you can access a small area or maybe instead have the zombies actually tear through the wall.
you should make it so after you win or lose you could play another round with a random map or same map. Also instead if clicking on the tower to activate the ability there should be an ability button on top of the towers UI. So keep going and make the game awesome :)
Game looks nice and advanced, my only advice is about the upgrade bar. I think the player should be able to buy all upgrades previous upgrades and the current upgrade by clicking one of the boxes
also john if atrazine already dosent do this you can make the pump animation for shotgunner still be in the shooting animation and just change the fire rate and yea
U gotta make some maps each day have 50 precent more rewards on particular mode just to make game more interesting and also make so u can choose which map u go on.
