How did you find setting up the ma5b for best swr values ? I had one and could not lower the SWR no matter what I did. Just curious because I've just got me another new one and have yet to install it
Most important thing was understanding the information ( instructions with the Ma5b) the measurement and spacing have to be done right also need a antenna analyzer to fine tune each band start with 10 - 1st then go to each band getting them as low as possible then go back over it starting with ten again each band pick a spot on analyzer center of each band your going to talk on I got all bands 1.1 one more thing I changed that 3 pcs boom to a single PCs thick wall also got better U bolts and the hose clamps I got the best Napa can get and I put a 1/4 inch plate 10x 11 for the mast mount and better U bolts making that Ma5B more reliable and ridged the 3 rd time around made a huge difference
