pain. 0:00 Wow, I Uploaded 2:01 Bring Back Old Map Rewards 4:12 Revamp Solo Gameplay 11:31 Buff Mana Gain For Easier Maps 12:27 Defending Hiloh and Pixel-Bit Developers
This is a very well-made video and brings up a lot of good points. Teamwork is important but I don't think a game has to entirely rely on teamwork. I would say solo-ing is essential for any tower defense game as an alternative if you don't want to play with randoms who don't know what they're doing. And when you're forced to cooperate with them, it just creates a lot of stress and frustration.
2:04, this is just my guess as to why. They nerfed the old rewards because they wanted people to spend more time on their game. More grind=more "replayability" I also agree with the whole "teams" gameplay. I've been saying for over a year (sort of a meme on the channel); I simply hate the teamwork that tower heroes forces you to go through. None of my close friends play this game and when they did, they immediately quit and didn't enjoy it. Specifically my friend Zach, when he tried to get back into the game, we couldn't play on most maps because he was just too low level, he tried to grind the game and ended up quitting saying "it's too much grind". Solo gameplay is important, I just don't understand why they don't want solo gameplay. Just to add on to what has been stated here 5:34, this isn't the only thing that is late, PvP has been asked probably since the game first came out. By the time of its release, the old audience that wanted it just wasn't there anymore. Rng works with some games and even make it fun (usually board games), rng within the tower defense genre (with some minor exceptions, that being loot boxes, Hana from battle buddies, etc.) has never worked, even in tds people complain and hate the rng aspect with the mystery zombies. PvP, Jester and some weekly challenges just don't work and have just been completely hated by the community. A game that requires you to play carefully with what characters you pick, how you upgrade them, where you place them, how you spend your economy, etc. Shouldn't be completely shafted by "lol, generator determines you lose this time" It's unappealing, and contradicts the whole point on how to play the game.
balancing goes like this 1. make new hero 2. everybody uses it 3. nerf to the ground because options are evil 4. decrease money gain 5. raise prices 6. profit
AND now in this modern day in which you NEED other people for adventure mode my loadout would be; kart/byte, lemming, stella, BP and Spec, and if i could just have that 6th slot it would be a game changer
An Idea I've had for a while for balancing on difficulty is that a map would get harder or easier depending on the amount of people you had in the server. So like for example if I had one person in a server the enemy's health would decrease and if I had two then it would be normal and so on.
That moment when Genshin somehow has better crate rarity mechanics than Tower Heroes. Genshin has horrible microtransaction mechanics but their pity system is passable.
tbh there is lack of updates and I feel you sometimes I don’t feel excited about the updates to and the crates oh boy. Something else to I’m glad you’re back to berk
With a game that heavily relies on teams, it would be nice to be able to solo maps after most of my friends left and it’s hard to play with newer players. With how heavily games rely on teamwork, when newer players don’t understand the game, a lot of us, including me sometimes, get impatient and it gets frustrating for everybody. Hope to see this game work on its mechanics on an update
This is why i started to use alt accounts its actually rlly fun, i can use towers that arent on the meta while on my main i can use the meta towers Ex:my main: scientist, lemon cat, maitake, soda pop, specter But on my alt i use lemom beebo stella wafer and balloon pal I can just give myself money on my alt and not only does it feel more fun bc i can just freely change my alts loadout i can also get xtra cashh
New player here and yes I agree its hard to grind and solo maps just to get xp and coins. I got so confused when the maps for lower level players like Volcano or the other lvl 10+ maps are so hard to defeat even if you choose easy on them. My friends and I who are still below level 20 just remain in castle town until we get bored...which only takes 2 rounds. Nice video btw keep up the good work!
at 8:00 I really think there would be a really great idea for a 25% damage increase for every tower like volt (I really like volt so) And the 6th slot idea is really good because the enemy has 9k (caged boss) and you can't defeat a while horde of them in casual and rng kills you I see it as a good way to make soloing maps way easier and make some maps really easy really great video!
I heavily agree with this video. Hopefully the next update has some sort of replayability added. Hiloh talked about how it lacks it and want's to implement it a few weeks ago like on the 5th.
I agree. While this game is heavily based on teamwork, we need a few buffs for towers and also a sixth slot, for new players AND making soloing some maps actually possible instead of outright impossible unless you get fantastic RNG. The grinding in this game is also pretty bad. I like this game, but it has a lot of issues, especially in terms of difficulty.
I see all of these as valid reasons to me, still this is pixel-bit we're talking about, and the chance of them changing all the suggested here is about one in a million, I respected their development in the earlier days of tower heroes, but it seems to have been growing very thin recently...
although I think the sixth slot unlock should be around level 25-35, where it would invest a new player to work hard to that point, but not too demanding as well, because when you're at the point of playing harder levels with not much other choices of getting exp, it'd be better to have that 6th slot sooner rather than later.
imo, every tower should get a buff like a 50% and spectre gets his damage buff lowered. towers would still have the same old damage that they had with spec buff but it would make the game less reliant on spectre overall
I think they should add two solo gamemodes: OG , harder but with double the rewards and maybe a skin (also make some maps possible) and the casual mode that spawns less enemies and towers do more damage
I started playing a couple of weeks ago and I totally agree that new players have a bad time with income and difficulty. The problem is that wizard and chef are not that great, and it's not until you play MANY easy rounds in Castle Town that you actually get enough money for scientist or lemonade cat, to AT LEAST do decent. I also don't get why you get such a low income if you lose a wave. There's times I have been playing for 15 minutes straight to get to the boss, and then I lose because I don't have enough boss damage, but even if I got far up to the boss, I get as much money as losing on easy mode (12 misserable coins). It's pure torture.
5:57 oh my god this gave me a flashback to that time some LEVEL 99 PLAYER absolutely fumbled fencing on Blastech Barrage medium and refused to fix it and straight up ignored me and my team despite us asking him multiple times causing us to lose that was so painful I swear
"increase wave mana output decrease lcat mana output scale lcat mana output based on amount of players" "beetrice and sparks are already getting buffed next update" "im gonna get smelly to change lcat" This all came directly from hiloh
@@sonof6802 Too Overpowered??? Bruh, his boss dps is not even that good and the highest damage towers handle mid - late game just fine without area damage.
2:27 tried slime king with only chef and it took 11 minutes also had tons of pain grinding for scientist ''OMG GUYS TOWER HEROS IS BETTER AS BEGGINER'' its not even fun as a begginer nor a pro
Tower Heroes 2021 was absolute shit. This was the one year when the most youtubers quit the game, and for valid reason. The updates were dogwater, the towers that came out weren't good, and the game overall was super boring with very little feasible content. In the Christmas event, the year was at its best, but in the Oddport update, it lost all hope of being a good game. Hey Hiloh! Ik u want to do ur own thing with ur game, but at least listen to the community for once. Battle Buddies overall is kinda boring, but at least they listen to their community to an extent. Tower Defense Simulator has received the same treatment as Tower Heroes in 2021, but everything's starting to go back to normal. Why? Bc they're listening to their community! Hell they've been listening the entire time, and they knew TDS in 2021 was an absolute flop.
Ya the whole reason they nerfed map rewards was so players can spend more time in there game since they saw it was dying I think its this reason cause why else would they nerf it?
i agree with most of this video and i like to play games for fun and use cute towers like Keith and because i used keith and not scientist i almost lost the game.
I believe volt needs a buff who cares if he outclasses frank he is for lvl 40 with an extremly hard raid map. Plus branch outclasses things like soda pop. He is also a mid level tower lvl 30. Thats why i think volt deservez a buff.
I think they should make a mode, it's called, Beginner friendly mode. It tells them if they're doing wrong, gives them instructions on what do like tutorial but you can read it's tutorial FASTER. Do something wrong, you get told Do something good, you get told And also nerfs thing's down a bit you know. So if something had 500 hp rn it'd be about 160. A slime would be normal Goblin would be 8 Just the other maps are all accessible but easier and you will not get rewarded with heros/skins unless you are on castle town. Simple Also gives about 2500 mana to start with
Ik I’m late but Berk the updates needs to bigger it needs to add more content to the game because all we get is a new hero and map that won’t cut it and we’re losing a lot of players this gonna down grade tower heros just like tower defense simulator I get this game has alot of effort I’m not pushing the devs but they need to add something big like a new game mode or REVAMP CASUAL MODE that mode is never touched by no one no one plays this mode it’s so dry and the game mode just has normel enemies AND THATS IT they should make it more unique they should add new mechanics that are exclusive on that game mode make it a harder game mode so it adds replace value for players and make the mode level 30+
I did blastech barrage on medium and this guy was level 210 and all he did was place a level one beetris and started flexing it and we lost because all he did was place a level 1 beetris
My main criticisms are just nerfs that aren’t necessary. Give El Goblino a buff to what he was before (obviously make the ability not be effected by Spectre) and then GIVE VOLT A BUFF. Or maybe just don’t even change his stats and just make him cheaper. I honestly don’t understand why Volt is so expensive and I sometimes wanna use him just for fun, but even if he’s bad his mana cost is ABSOLUTEY RIDICULOUS. I don’t care what they downright Votl just make him cheaper and I’m happy.
As a new player it's been extremely tempting to quit. With only two units there's only so much you can do. I can barely solo Castle Town on Easy mode and when I do succeed it still takes me 12-13 minutes in average and what do I get? About 20 coins and maybe 3-7 exp... Since most towers/units clock in at around 300ish coins that would mean a new player would have to not only play but win 15 rounds of Castle Town which would take them over 3 hours of gameplay. All for a single unit. Please for the love of god make maps soloable. Many players avoid "noobs" simply because the fact they're limited to two absolute dumpster units which isn't even the players fault. It doesn't have to be this way, there are many changes they could make to ensure early game progression isn't unbearable. Why not allow new players to choose an additional tower for free? Why not add multiplayer scaling instead of a flat difficulty? Scaling daily and weekly quests based on progression because no new player is going to beat a raid map I promise you that.
u know how i got through begining of tower heroes and im lvl 60 now well i was playing oother td games before so personaly i think do not play tower heroes if you dont have expirience form other tower defense games
Tower heroes has fallen for me when i started playing it it was like no clue how long ago around a year maybe everything was fine every tower was cool rewards were good but they had to ruin it thats why i only play tds or tbz these days
