Tower World and the Future of Roblox Obbies - A Roblox Documentary 

Hey everyone, I'm back! I got sick for like 2 months, but I've recovered and am back at it again! I hope you all enjoy!

I refuse to give up on Tower World. THIS is my dream project, and now that I've seen it come to life, I am eager to share it with others. I am grateful to JToH for being an inspiration and to all who believed in me. This game is my passion, and I'm determined to fulfill all my dreams for it. While Tower World may not yet have the 6-year extensive community content of JToH, we will get there with bold steps forward. We will introduce more unique mechanics, we will provide ways for the community to engage, we will have towers for enthusiasts seeking that dopamine rush, and we will ensure that there is plenty for everyone. This journey, this video, it has brought tears to my eyes, and I am so excited to make Tower World something truly special.

Very high quality, but an incredibly stupid video. There are 2 types of platformer games on roblox: obbies and non-obby platformers. The first ones are those, who use default roblox controller and default workspace and humanoid properties, the scripted object's are present in both. The reason for being the first is to allow skill being seamlessly transfered between games and usage of all the tech developed on wonky buggy roblox controller. The second group tries to have unique (or at least different from obbies) gameplay by (most of the time) using different controller. I think of Tower world as a "failed hybrid platformer". It has a lot of scripted objects, so you have to learn new things you wont use in any other game, but at it's core it's still an obby with moldy movement system, so you get benefits of neither type. It's relatively well made, but considering how much money and time was put into this developmental nightmare it's even disappointing. It's still not finished, but it's not looking very promising The game I think nails "modern obby" genre is Flood escape 2. Default controller, only two types of scripted objects (each serves very important role), but it's very different from classic "go up and fail 50 times and each time you start over" towers I think in the best case scenario Tower world will become watered down Flood esque-ape game, because you can't challenge players with precision if you incorporate a lot of new stuff (scripted objects), you don't have a game-defining twist like FE2, and you can't make people enjoy the unique movement system like Parkour, because you don't have one. The only thing that is left for it is "well-madeness", but the gameplay will still drag it down By the way there is a tower game with custom movement and most objects TW has, called Super skyward towers, and it even had speedrunning community that I was a part of before it fell of harder than obby player who failed the last jump on the tower

I just now stumbled on this documentary, I love it. Tower world and Voidel Tower will always be something I was always looking for and im looking out for more updates on Tower World. Btw Im questioned on your voice and your avatar, Voice sounds more male, but the avatar is more Female. It is making me confused.

while i dont think this game is bad i dont think its better than tower games like jtoh in the sense that its more modern, a lot of what makes tower world unique can or has been replicated in modern jtoh just in ways that are more intuitive to roblox physics and geometry. but what i like about jtoh is that the jumps arent limited by the player but more so how each jump is designed so that the basic movement doesnt become stale. i dont see the simplicity of obbies as a bad thing as long as the quality and creativity is considered, so to see the critique or view of quite literally making a way for the player to jump on walls or adding more cco's is like revolutionary. so for a game like tower world that tries and adds even more gimmicks to make the experience i guess more fresh just doesnt do it for me. like jtoh isnt perfect, the difficulty curve for new players is atrocious and devs are pretty slow at fixing or adding content, but i feel if you do like jtoh then playing tower world wouldnt really feel the same. in my opinion its just as similar to jtoh as flood escape is, and doesnt capture what makes it's predecessors fun for me, especially as for punishment and difficulty
