We had many a great time in Thurso good memories, the view from the campsite is bloody amazing well worth a visit this coming from an English man who loves Scotland

I have been all over Scotland. Both working and as a tourist. Thurso is the most dismal depressing place I have ever been to.I could not leave quick enough. Do yourself a favour and stay well away. There's nothing there.
Martin O.Malley Doesn't look so bad, despite the high latitude and lack of any shelter from Arctic winds. You should see some of the ex-industrial towns in Lancashire or Derbyshire if you want to see bleak. The League of Gentlemen wasn't a sitcom but a documentary.
