I had lunch in the same cafe. Pelmeni and stolichniy salad (which I can't tell the difference from Olivier). I'm amazed how much I remember my way around -- what to expect around the next corner as you driver -- after only two days there, four years ago. Also I want to congratulate Vika on her English and encourage her to somehow practice more. For dinner we both nights went to a really wonderful place almost at the corner of the "mall" that is closest to the kremlin road, on the river (west) side. I think it was called "Gnezdo Pekarya".

You have done one outstanding job giving a tour of your country. I haven't been able to contact as I have been streaming RU-vid on my TV and can't respond or post there. I can't get over the details you have passed on to us. So many thanks to you for letting us join you and your family.

I'm sure that football field was not there four years ago. It seems to be behind the "observation point" you went to in the horse & cart. The weekend I was there, that land had some kind of faire on it with stalls and amusement park rides. After going from our BnB hotel through the territory of that monastery (just after you were at the football ground), it was possible to walk down an unofficial path just outside the fence of the football ground territory, then cut across the open ground to your observation point, then past the "rich merchant's house", across a bridge, to the place people were swimming in the river.

The houses by the river on stilts are that way for flooding. That way they wouldn’t wash away. That’s my experiential guess.

I am so annoyed. I was supposed to go to Suzdal on June 7th and we had to cancel. We were supposed to go to a 1 night GoldenRing Tour.

Too many things to mention with 3 hours but 1, those Russian girls were simply beautiful and I was like, 19:00 Sergey, show me the ceiling, and yeah, you did, nice camera work. Thanks for taking us dudes on your family vacation. Here in Houston we are on total lock down so this is a nice little escape. Vicca have enough $ for a phone yet?
