The song hits me the most. only because I grew up being an extrovert traveling my whole life and when I fell in love with my fiancé. I felt so conflicted because my heart still wanted to travel. But as the song says “you’re softest whisper is louder than the highways that call to me” at the end of the day all the mountains in the rivers and the valleys can’t compare to the girl I have here.. The song will eventually be in our wedding. Townes Van Zandt always knew how to work things as he is one of the best song writers and artists of our time.
