In today's casted game we see the aoe4 byzantines played by crackedyhere versus the aoe4 english played by myriad on the age of empires 4 map highview. It was an interesting showcase of these two civilisations but ultimately only one will prevail to win this aoe4 match.

He had 3 landmarks down, farms burning, 5 trebs and instead of focusing on the berkshire, or keep destroying infrastructure or mine the gold, or threaten sacred victory, he did.. Nothing?

I don't know what happened. Byz wasn't mining gold despite having pretty much the whole map. He also stopped producing villagers at about 70 - 80, which is ludicrous.

myriad went with way too man early farms instead of just getting the gold and going castle. cost him early.

issue with english is, he misplayed it early got way behind, and was able to not make units because he knew he could fall back on berkshire, white castle and 2 tcs protecting his base

wow losing with 4.5k food at bank and plenty of wood. Many mistakes on the byzantine side like not mining enough gold, not going imperial, not building enough production and not being more aggressive after reaching 200 pop.

He Who Loses lost the game... bit of a spoiler that. Lol. But seriously - he went for the throat. What he should have done is secured the two 8k golds on the LHS and starved out the English. That gold allowed English to get back in with MAA and upgrades.
